So I decided to buy a Grizl 8 1by after being in the Edge about getting the 7 (Not 1by).
Main Point was living in a pretty hilly part of Germany and wanting to BE i bit more flexible in gear ratio.
I've choosen the 1by anyways.
After 60km I bought a few parts to make the Hills a bit easier.
So here ist my Tip If you want to have a hill climbimg monster while also keeping the 1 Chain Ring.
Original Setup:
Shimano Grx 40t Chainring in the Front
Shimano Grx 822 GS derallierur and a 10-45t casette in the back.
New Setup:
Front stays the Same
Shimano Grx 822 SGS derallierur and a 10-51t cassette in the back.
Needed parts:
Shimano DEORE CN-M6100 Chain
Shimano Y3FW98080 outer cage plate
Shimano Y3FW26000 inner cage plate
Shimano XT CS-M8100 12 gear casette (M6100, 7100 and 9100 also work)
Needed time for conversion: approx 1,5h
It's a blast riding this thing and the huge cassette in the back looks pretty good imo.
