Last year I bought a YT Tues core 2 before bike park season, ended up loving it and had a fantastic year. It came with the boxxer select which held up well over \~20 days but a low stanchion scratch led to some scoring and early signs of seal/bushing wear.
My plan was to buy a new stanchion and get my select serviced ($3-400 est total) before getting on any lifts this year, but I found a great deal on a Boxxer Ultimate ($900) from Colorado Cyclist’s closing sale: [https://www.coloradocyclist.com/rockshox-fork-boxxer-ultimate-charger2-1-rc2-27-5-boost-20×110-200mm-red-36-offset-debonair-ziptie-fender-2-btm-tokens-star-nut-maxle-stealth-c2](https://www.coloradocyclist.com/rockshox-fork-boxxer-ultimate-charger2-1-rc2-27-5-boost-20×110-200mm-red-36-offset-debonair-ziptie-fender-2-btm-tokens-star-nut-maxle-stealth-c2)
For anyone who has ridden both is it a noticeable upgrade? Is it worth it at this price point when I’m looking at a full rebuild anyway? If I upgraded I would hang on to the select as a backup or service it and sell it to a friend for a good deal.
