Six Southampton residents reveal how patchwork pavements, traffic lights, disjointed cycle lanes and travel limitations, impact on their wellbeing.
Filmed throughout 2022, when the British Government introduced some key measures to encourage less car reliance and healthier ways to travel, and Southampton City Council conducted an inquiry into how accessible the city is to people with reduced mobility, this 20-min documentary explores how six residents in their 20s, 30s, 50s, 60s, 80s and 90s cope with the realities of getting out and about in Southampton, a city, like many others in the UK, where half of the pavements are in significant need of repair.
