Hi so I’m new to this and just gathering gear at the minute. I bought an ortlieb Atrack 35l backpack on eBay to stick on my bike rack but the zipper broke so I’m looking for something new.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a sturdy, reliable, waterproof rucksack I can use to strap to my rack that will hopefully last me years? Preferably roll top, but I don’t mind too much.
I do like the look of the [Patagonia disperser](https://eu.patagonia.com/gb/en/product/disperser-roll-top-pack-40-liters/48575.html?dwvar_48575_color=GNCA&cgid=luggage-new-arrivals) but wondering if there’s anything more suitable out there.
Also – side question – how many litres is too much for a rack bag? I’ve heard 30-35 is the sweet spot but anyone have experience going long distances with 40+?
