On a two day trip in the middle of nowhere I heard a loud crunch and my pannier was loose and the hook was caught in the spokes. Turns out the plastic buckle that is used to tighten the harness onto the rack broke. I have no idea what would cause this, it was on a flat surface… But I am wondering if it happened to anyone here and is it repairable? The buckle is attached to the belt which is attached permanently to the pannier (see photo) and I don’t know how to replace it without cutting the belt which is obviously a bad idea. But seems a waste to throw away the bag which has plenty of life still…
