So I want to start getting into road biking and I’ve seen a lot of second hand bikes that are older and carbon, but newer bikes in the space price category look nicer but are aluminum. I’m not new to biking, but rather one reason I want to start road biking is so I can also use a road bike with an indoor trainer as well to improve my fitness for cross XC MTB racing.
With that said, these are some of the bikes that I’ve been interested in and was wondering which seems to be the best option. Or should I not look at PinkBike’s used bike market for road bikes at all? I know mountain bike geometry and components have changed drastically with time, but I’m not sure if the same really applies with road bikes.
