Schwinn introduced the Corvette in 1954 as their new middleweight bike. Available with a coaster-brake rear hub or three-speed internal geared Sturmey-Archer hub, this bike was equipped with the SA. The opal red paint looks beautiful after nearly seventy years and the bike is mostly original. I flipped the handlebar and removed the front rack for a sportier look, switched the original saddle with a Velo Orange model that I took off my vintage touring bike and replaced cables, brake pads and tires. She is surprisingly quick with the three-speeds and an absolute joy to ride around the historic neighborhood where I live.
