I participated in the Sprint Distance Duathlon German Championship 2024 in Halle to test my legs before Ironman Hamburg. It was a very cold and wet day. Although I hadn’t done much training for short stuff, I felt quite confident prior to the race.
At the same location they hosted a Jugendcup event, which is a championship series for the youth in Germany. Some of athletes I coach participated in it too. I was quite nervous about how they perform, but they certainly did surprise me positively.
