Hi all,
I’m currently struggling to service my rear hub.
The hub should be – Formula alloy black Q/R, 6 bolt, loose bearing, Shimano 8 speed.
Clearly this wasn’t supposed to happen (first pic) and I’m going to assume its the cone which snapped off at some point and ripped to pieces (it came out from the hub side where the bearings are). Unsure how long this was like this as it’s the
I am going to replace the axle as it needs to be replaced but im unsure which one to purchase as i dont know if the shredded metal circle is from the actual hub or part of the cone on the axle (there is a bit of metal shredded on the axle itself).
The axle is 14.5cm Length 1cm Width as a QR axle for the rear wheel with an 8 speed cassette.
I’m relatively new to deeper maintanence (more than brake pad replacements, punctures, etc) and so i would appreciate some help with this.
