Good morning everyone,
I’m trying to put flat mount 160 mm disc brakes on a surly straggler frame (pic 01).
Therefore I think I need to adapt the IS mount to flatmount. I asked my local bike shop and they don’t have adapters like this and I could not find adapters in the online shops I use for bike parts. I can order parts on eBay/aliexpress but I’m rather sceptical they fit.
So can anyone share experience on these adapters or – even better – help me out with links/information to decent parts?
Second question (pic 02/03)
I want to power my SON-lights with a standard USB powerbank instead of a hub dynamo.
So basically I’m looking for a conversion from 5v dc usb-power to 6v ac coax (f) power.
Did anyone do this before or can help me out with a suitable custom part?
I asked SON and they were very nice but their business model is to sell dynamos and light kits and they offer the other way around to charge your phone/devices using the power from hub-dynamos. They said it’s easy to build DIY, but I don’t have the skills to do it.
