Is there really nothing that the riders could do themselves? I mean, bikes and men are just made faster by E-V-E-R-Y possible way, and at the same time there is a worry about the safety!!!!!

Disk brakes are THE main reason for crashes. The brake system is WAY too strong for a tiny race tire. ESPECIALLY in rainy or gravel condictiony!!
Idea to slow down the entrance : Place those step obstacles from CX where Riders need to dismount and run up. 🤔
Chicane! Bad idea. Looks like there’s some other side roads they could use before the forest instead of a straight approach. But that’s just an observation 🤷🏻♂️

Kudos to Tom Pidcock for some common sense Yorkshire talk, even if he has his "polite voice" on. The chicane is ridiculous. What about the rest of the race? Put the racers on kids bikes with training wheels and limit the speed to 10 mph? Airbags for riders!

Why can't the race commissaire pull in front in the car, slow the pelaton down then speed back up again? This is a really simple and safe way to do it. Seems really obvious as well.
