In this vlog, I leave lovely little Lymm and Sail to Sale where I’m sure there’s a Sale on. A place of runners and the most amazing graveyard I’ve ever seen..

  1. NarrowboatWill's adventures. A quality entertainment series on a tiny budget, that's a thrilling saga with no BBC licence fee required! 😂

NOTE; You're not allowed to park in the canal unless you have a Canal & River Trust (CRT) current licence.😂

  2. it makes you wonder who comes up with these names for towns & cities , like the name Lymme , sounds like Lyme decease , & SALE , of the century , 1 van with clean bill of health , comes with it's own ready pasted wallpaper , ready to put up 😅😅

  3. Hi Will. That narrow stretch for a few hundred yards at Dunham, — between. Lymm and Altringham — is the result of a major breach there in 1972. The canal runs on an embankment, crossing the River Dane. It failed in the same way as happened near Middlewich recently. It took e several years to rebuild ( a lot longer than repairing the Middlewich branch of the Shroppie ) and was rebuilt much narrower than before to keep the cost down. I was moored, for a weekend, at The point where it breached three days before. Often wondered if it was me driving in my mooring pins that led to the breach occurring a few days later ! HaHa. Lovely stretch of canal though. 👍

  4. Enjoyed that trip from lymn, fished every in of that stretch will as a kid,had some lovely fish out of the bridgewater, sadly dont see many fishing it these days.
    Thumbs up will🐠🐟

  5. It’s not that uncommon to find cars IN the Bridgewater canal Will. I’ve seen a few. It’s the local “Scallies” to blame. (to use an imported term from up the road, if you get my drift ?😂

  6. Hmmmm you say you feeling better but inoyou are just not you will chin up sun soon be here t nowthe oldies 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍👍

  7. I can't believe we missed you at Lymm! Would have given you a filthy thumbs up if we had seen you in our home port! Nice to see our boat at

  8. Hey Will I just got in from a 14 hour shift most of which was spent on the wonderful M25 going from one jam to another, lorry driving is great and I can highly recommend it……eh not…..anyway here I am knackered and I have to watch your vlog which is like medicine for the soul. Don't ever question why you do this because nearly 9 thousand rippers can't be wrong. Anyway take care and stay safe and I will be back for more of your medicine…..😉🙂👍👎🦵🦿👀

  9. Wiil, isn't Suey (spelling) from Thailand? Couldn't remember. Heard today (Apr. 3) about enormous earthquake there. Hope all are ok. Take care out there.

  10. Thanks for another brilliant vlog Will. The wet weather seems be dampening everyone’s spirits just now, I know how you feel, but you always put a smile on all our faces, thank you Will 😊x
PS take care on the Ribble Link this weekend, looks like we have another storm ⛈️ on its way x

  11. Hi Will. Another great video thanks. Lymm is amazing isn't it? Do I gather you are going across the Ribble Link soon? I recall you mentioned an April 7th date to get to Tarleton. I sail model boats in Southport, just round the coast from Tarleton and it'd be nice to give you a wave as you set off into the incoming tide at Tarleton. Very windy at the moment and I see the timetable for crossings on CRT website shows mid morning on Sunday tomorrow. Are you going then or later in the month when weather may be calmer? Lancaster canal is beautiful. Regards. Paul.
