Dr Natalie Joseph Williams
Cardiff University
Now more than ever is the importance of research clear – research studies played a critical role in helping us to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and it continues to be important as we recover and rebuild our health and care services.
To ensure the best outcomes for patients, decisions about health and care services need to be underpinned by evidence.
In this lecture, Dr Natalie Joseph-Williams (Associate Director) will describe how the Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre works together with policy and practice leads.
Using case studies, she will take you on a journey across the research cycle and describe the difference the research has made to health and social care services in Wales.
The talk will also bring in the views of our dedicated Public Partners and NHS, social care, and Welsh Government leads.
During this interactive lecture we will invite you to share the difference research has made to you, allow you to take part in live voting, and ask for your views on the most important health and care research priorities – all of this will help us to deliver research that matters most to the people of Wales.
