On October 15th 2012, six members of Dr Abdul Shakoor’s family perished in an arson attack on their family home on Barn Mead, Harlow. Five of the dead were his young children. It quickly became apparent that the attack was deliberate, and it became a mass murder investigation as part of Operation Shakespeare, one of the largest operations and murder enquiries the force has launched. Yet twelve years later, it remains unsolved.
