Wanted to see if I could get any personal feedback from folks about a bike purchase. I am looking at either the Marin Muirwoods, or the new version of the State Allroad 4130. I am looking at the L in the Allroad and the XL in Marin (33″/34″inseam). The Allroad feels like it would be a more upright ride and it also has some more modern components like thru-axles and the hollowtech style bottom bracket, but the Muirwoods has some more name brand parts that may be easier to fix/find replacements for. It also seems to have a bit more tire clearance and I like me some chunky tires. Mostly used for a round town bomber/ kid hauler. Likely 700c versions. Any thoughts?
