A ride with a few lessons learnt!

My back light which doesn’t look like it’s on is set on traffic mode so it comes on lighter when it detects cars – I did this to save battery during the light hours :).

Thank you so so much for watching.

(I am an ambassador for Le Col, Sungod and Styrkr I get suff from these brands for free which you will see me wearing/ eating in my videos, I’m so grateful for this! I was gifted my Met helmet as an ambassador for Raleigh UK)

Cannot see all that starts at 8am some reason car thought it started for seven so we got up an hour early than we needed to went back to bed for a bit more catnip um but we’re here now find me porridge let’s do this oh and it’s always first

Of all that so let’s see how she does with obesity picked up my brother or as I like to call it revet and free little piece of blackjack it’s gonna get another piece in a minute I’ll be in all the glory King Pin suspension makes it comfy on the old cut lights oh don’t worry we’ve got a light on today on the back of the bag this little one is integrated into the bag but it covers up so I became prepared today we’re 30 miles in that means we’ve got a hundred miles

To go I’m not working in kilometers today it is a 200 kilometer Road actually I think that’s the only kind of ride I do I do do all the distances but that means we got 100 baloneys to go nice little View at the minute the clouds that size oh yeah a little Hill

Got the receipt from the proof girl got me a chocolate bar we’re going back later 52 miles in the first stop was Gainsborough and the next stop is at 65 miles which is the halfway point which will be rugby I have a little kit change which is a little bit hot I’m feeling

Good it’s got bright clothes on today the body’s a little bit tired but we’re getting on weight we should be about two miles from the next control I hope we are because I’m ready for the launch let me tell you fast car dealers are burning he’s got a

Quite a slight issue with his cleats and basically there’s none of it less so we’re doing if it’s going to survive to the end but we’re hoping it does and I don’t know can we get some Harvey’s number two AKA rugby a nice little Co-op

Or you can trust a co-op you know I’ve got a peanut butter pit Carl’s going to get me a nice cereal bar he’s got to get himself a nice coffee a little Costa local you can’t beat it well you can beat actually because I feel you know a

Nice home brewed hot chocolate a nice cafe bottle you can’t have it on next receipt going in my bag with my rabbit coffee Pack it feeling good cut lines are going back later yeah for 75 miles in now we’ve got 55 to go doing okay but I am feeling a little bit more tired than usual and I’ve noticed that on the past few rides I’ve done my energy hasn’t been that great

And uh I’ve said on this before that I’ve at least disorder in the past and at times when I’m anxious or stressed it tends to come back a bit and I think I’ve kind of been letting it slip a bit the last few weeks we’re not eating enough really so

I’m aware of it we’ve got a good talking to myself I’m gonna make sure I’m eating enough on and off the bike it’s very hard sometimes when my head tells you one thing for example when Kyle bought me that chocolate at control point one first thing my head thought was

You’re not eating that but I’m fighting those thoughts and I’m going to eat it because I like chocolate so I’m gonna eat it but it is actually Eating Disorders awareness week this week so I thought it’d be nice just to or use a bit of awareness you never know

If someone Close to You struggling so just always be sensitive around talking about food and things like that yeah that’s a serious stuff over for now sure Point number three 86.9 miles in still not got new gloss question is what’s the name of the pub The Tempest

Cast temp is going on and I gotta say that headwind is Brie oodle brutal but we’ve got a little view here that’s Freewheel down that’s out yippee but I’m not gonna be videoing because the camera’s going away for a minute let’s get on with it just stop for a little snack while

Carla’s a pit stop AKA away got my Circa bar absolutely love these things and made up a new little song get your stoker down so you like to go around get your sticker down so your legs feet go around that’s what I’m saying in my head

If the eating sort of Voice come and says don’t eat that I’m saying yes I will oh yeah the final one Lucas eating sweets for you Kyle can that man just take it back in his van please he’s ready for a break this chocolate milkshake is the best

Chocolate milkshake I’ve ever tried in my life I’m not delirious right now that’s a fact I’ve done 100 miles we got 30 miles to go AKA a club rise 112 miles we’ve got 18 miles to go all going well apart from somebody stopped dead in

Front of Kyle Kyle went into the back of them and fell off he’s broke his shifter so he’s currently stuck in the heaviest gear he’s struggling a bit so we’re taking it slow I’m just gonna get home safely but blow him in there he’s not happy

11 miles to go feeling D for Izzy again so I’m having some chocolate so all I care about get to the end chocolate is good for me at 5 15 I’m ding dong dong a bit like this shifter over here that’s ding dong dong as well the reason it can’t sleep didn’t work

Yeah no there’s nothing left we’re walking back to the van now I’m Nick not paddy whack get me a bone AKA get me a curry because that’s what I’m having to eat because optional removable shifter I can’t believe he’s cycle of 30 miles in the stiffest gear I mean I did office

To go back and get the van and pick him up but it was disturbing so he did well but Lessons Learned From that is don’t cycle when you cleat is not in full tax because your foot will keep coming out the pedal um don’t crash into the back of someone

Um and for me it is eat more carbs in the week because I’ve been being very silly I need to eat more and then I’ll feel better when I’m riding so that’s my lessons and yeah but overall enjoy the ride and ready to get home snuggle up

Watch a bit of Telly and have a nice Curry as usual

  1. A true inspiration. Looks like you were born to cycle 🙂 Well done on the distance & to Kyle given the cleat / gearing issue. Loving the weekly updates.👌

  2. Is your bike a gravel variant? I fancy an audax but not sure if I'd be better on the gravel bike with appropriate tyres or the Roadie with max 28mm

  3. Fantastic ride guys ,really love watching your videos ,biggest ride I ever done by was a coast to coast 150 miles ,aim to get a 100 miles ride in during March!

  4. Done a few Hilly 200kms Audax rides . Its a weird sort of distance .. Have to be careful with them or your legs can easily fall off those last 20 miles if overcooking it after a diet of 50 to 100 mile rides.

  5. Greetings from Manchester England once again….Love it love it love it……. Just wish I could experience it in real life with you both….. Keep these awesome videos and memories coming thick and fast… Toodle Pip…😁😎🍻👍✌️🙋

  6. Have you tried putting sugar in your water bottles. Heat the sugar up in a pan the night before than once cooled down pour into your bottle.

  7. Superb vid, very enjoyable. I like your passion, and you and Kyle inspire me to get out more. Kudos to him for finishing with his broken shifter and cleat. Food is fuel Amy. I always take some homemade flapjacks and honey sandwiches. Top carbs, but my mouth feels like a glue factory afterwards. Keep them vids coming, and best to you both…😊

  8. Great video. Love your positivity and genuine love for cycling in your videos. It's actually helped me get out and brave the cold today. First road ride today in a while . Loved it . Going out again tomorrow. Lol. Quick question is your bike a gravel bike ? What width tyres do you run ? Your new bike looks great and super comfy . Many thanks paul

  9. Good to see some bright colours. I watch all kinds of vloggers and I find it amazing how many wear dark colours on the road. I always wear bright colours. Better safe than sorry. Enjoy your videos!

  10. thank you for helping me understand. For having the awareness, the ability to explain it, and of course the confidence to let others know. And for being entertaining enough to get it done!

  11. Amy, you're amazing! Having had an eating disorder myself, I know how hard it can be when that voice starts whispering in your ear. You are bossing it!

Your openess about it will help other sufferers have the courage to overcome their battles too 😊

PS has Kyle been doing secret 'top of the hill dances' to wear his cleats out that much😂

  12. It took me a while to get good at doing a 'no hander' on my road bike. For some reason it had always been easier on my hybrid, it seems to have lower centre of gravity. Just be careful and don't be tempted to do a Chris Froome by blowing your nose in strong winds on a TT bike at 33mph!

  13. As I understand, sugars are used by the body differently during exercise versus being sedentary. It looks like cyclists have terrible diets judging by all the candies and sweets consumed, but not so. The sugars are burned immediately for energy.

  14. For you guys who are not racers and speed demons, why not gravel cleats? Nowadays you don't pay much weight penalty moving away from road cleats, and you'd never encounter such a problem. Wearing out a gravel cleat is like trying to wear out a stone, it doesn't happen.
