Hello fellow bikepacker,

I am starting this year to take part on some Bikepacking, ultraDistance, Audax “races”. So I am looking to get the right gears kit that I can invest in. I am not on a budget (I will still look at it I did not win the lottery yet), but I rather have something greater that I know I’ll use for the next 10/15 years.

The piece of gear kit I’d be looking into:

* **Sleeping bag** \- (not going to be colder than 5°Celcius) – No clue what to go for.
* **Rain Jacket**: Need one with a hoodie that I can put above my helmet. I need a technical one. I sweat a lot and that can be my grave on a “hotter” rainy day. (This is were my knowledges are limited outside of gore-tex). The one I had a look at are: [Albion](https://www.albioncycling.com/products/unisex-zoa-rain-shell-orange) (Partner of the race) and [Rapha](https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/mens-trail-gore-tex-infinium-jacket/product/SHE01XXCFPXLG)
* **Cycling shoes** (cleat): I normally ride with [Fizik infinito](https://www.fizik.com/uk_en/vento-infinito-knit-carbon-2-wide.html) (Wide version) I thought switching to MTB cleat with shoes that are more comfortable to walk around. Would like to keep 2 boas (better in my opinion), would be much happier with laced shoes. I’ve seen the Quoc brand having good reviews. I have a wide foot so, a narrow shoes might be challenging.

All suggestions in terms of Brand, quality feedback would be nice. If can get out from the 2/3 man results from the main biking websites.

Thank you for your help 🙂
