Howdy!
This is my 1974 simoncini record at least.. that’s what I think it is. Anyways it’s a super cool bike that absolutely rips.
I bought the bike used off a bike co op and I believe the mechanics there have never heard of a fix gear as they put a cheap freewheel wheelset on it with no rear break of course.
I swapped the wheels for the zipp ones I bought used off of a guy on Facebook which I later converted to fix gear by buying a dynacomp track hub which looked most like the zipp one and then lacing it to the rim.
The cranks are some old Japanese ones which are super cool but also super heavy and the chainring and chain get the job done but are kinda boring and I want to swap them later on for something cooler and of course buy an Izumi super toughness for those fixie points lmao.
The bars are atrocious and I despise them but I haven’t decided what type of drop bars I want to replace them with. I want something fast yet comfortable, like almost every fix gear rider.
And of course the nock off oury grips cause 15 dollars for the real ones is wayyy to expensive lol
The pedals and straps are from cult with an origin 8 strap
Pro stem and random Japanese seatpost sturdily held in place by a campi seat clamp
Brooks seat obviously
Shimano bb and headset
Velo orange bottle cage but I wanna swap it for a Portland designs dog one cause it’s kinda funny and why not.
Anyways this is it at the moment and I’m still upgrading to get the uttermost amount of speed out of it for my local crit races.
It weighs exactly 20 pounds btw
That’s about it, thanks!
