Both bikes look really nice, I am very skeptical about buying another IGH belt bike even for commuting I have a Priority Gotham and it’s slow as hell the 3 speed nexus is not just slow as in lack of faster gears but also slow in how heavy and strong the resistance appears to be.
On a normal chain and sprocket bike my Cannondale Super Six Evo I can shave 10 mins off my commute while sweating a lot less
On the other hand the fuji Jari is missing just one thing a chain stay bridge where the bottom bracket is to mount my sexy SKS Edge AL fenders but maybe it won’t matter maybe it won’t move around down there or maybe a tie strap might be an option

\^ I put in the time stamp in the link from james the bike guy you will see the issue it has all other fender mounts except that one to screw in by the bottom bracket.
On the other hand I will put in Schwalbe Marathon E plus 35mm x 700c on this bike so it’s possible that the rolling resistance will be a lot higher with this fuji than the cannondale especially with fenders etc
What makes me terrified about the Priority 8 is how sluggish my 3 speed nexus Gotham is and the overall quality of the bike brake to shitty twist shifter just feels like rubbish also the frame headset isn’t perfectly round so you can’t ride with no hands either
But man does the Priority 8 look beautiful I wanted to use this bike for rainy season and this is where the belt would have come in handy but man this nexus 3 unless you carefully tighten the nuts in the back not too hard it will have a lot of resistance and if you don’t tighten it enough the wheel will come lose and shift and rub on the fenders.
No idea if the 8 suffers from this all I know is they once had an 8 years ago about 10 years ago? and it had horrible welds etc for brake mounts that kept rubbing not sure if those issues fixed and ironed out by now seeing as they been using the same frame on the Continum onyx
Also the 8 uses shimano alfine 8 rapid fire shifters and tektro hydro brakes all brand name parts so I am thinking it will be a lot better experience than this terrible gotham 3 speed
