I’d like to move my axle forward in the dropouts, and my 35mm tire size makes that difficult. Not a lot of real estate and adding/removing an entire link puts the tire on the seat tube.
Right now my axle nuts are sitting just barely on the acceptable limit for track dropouts.
A half link like this would solve the problem beautifully. However, I can’t think of a way to install without re-using the chain pin.
Is it safe to push a pin back in on a beefy track chain? Is there an odd combo of extra quick links I could use?
