So Ive spoken previously on here about installing an internal gear hub on here before. I managed to get a nexus 7 hub for a VERY reasonable price new with most of the stuff to fit it. I do however want to keep the belt drive and costs are going up fast thanks to it. I can get a nexus belt drive 22 tooth but it’s far far more expensive than say a 20 or a 24. I have no idea why. That’s just how it is. So looking at my drop outs do you.think I’ve got enough to play with to go up or down without replacing the belt. (Which is brand new, I cycle with a lot of salt on the roads in the UK).
2nd question and probably the most important. I assume that the spacing for the nexus hub with a belt drive will put my drivetrain in the same place it in now. Not offset. Meaning I can essentially just install it and not worry about it.
3rd and final question. The current sprocket has no guide on it. The sprockets I’ve been looking at have a centre piece that is designed to slot into the belt. Assuming to help keep it on. My new belt has this slot. My old sprocket does not and my old belt doesn’t either. I assume it’ll be fine with the guide section in it.
