New to triathalons, goal is to do a ironman in 2025 Aug and just finish (don’t care much about time). I have two questions.
Is this overkill, would I find something cheaper that would be good enough for my requirement?
Is this bike a good deal?

Cervelo S3 aero road bike, Shimano Ultegra 6800 groupset (mechanical).

WHEELS – Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon UST (40mm depth, carbon, tubeless setup but can run with tubes). Approx $2400 at the time of purchase.
TIRES- Continental GP5000 S TR (tubeless, 25mm, used but some life still left in them) CRANKSET- Upgraded to Shimano Ultegra 6800 crankset from original Rotor crankset.
CASSETTE- Ultegra 11-28, not original from bike, so in very good condition
BOTTOM BRACKET- Upgraded to a BBInfinite aftermarket BB, better quality than original, no creaks/problems
Cosmetic damage to paint around BB, also bit of tire rub on chainstays but frame is otherwise in very good condition. Bike recently fully checked by bike shop (no issues with crankset re: Shimano recall). Current chain/cassete still has lots of wear left in them. On 3rd set of cables, current ones in good condition. Fizik saddle basically new condition as I used my own saddle. There is a lot of head tube left, bike currently has 40mm spacers under stem, so lots of adjustability for bike fit.
