The dream of a lifetime, an impossible project… Do you feel this breeze? It has been 100 years since I am no longer here, and it is with great emotion that I stand before you today, not in flesh and blood, but in spirit,

To share my vision of this structure, which since for more than a century, has dominated the skies of Paris. When I undertook the construction of this 300 meter tower, my goal was not merely to raise an iron edifice It was to create a universal symbol of progress, of modernity,

A testament to humanity’s ability to push the boundaries of engineering and defy gravity. I dreamt of building a work that would transcend borders and eras, a work… that would embody the spirit of humanity marching towards the future! That being said, at the time, it didn’t win everyone over.

Many criticisms and protests even took place. Can you believe that some of the greatest contemporary minds tried to bring down the project? Maupassant described it as: “a tall and slender pyramid of iron ladders, an ungainly and giant skeleton.” Others judged it as “the disgrace of Paris”… It made me smile…

I never gave up! Deep down, I knew that once completed, this tower would be admired for its grandeur and one day ranked among the most prestigious monuments. Today, after all these years, I do not believe it to be vanity when I say that with its bold silhouette and its unique metal structure,

The Eiffel Tower has become not only the symbol of our country, France, but also a tribute to human creativity and our ability to realize our dreams. It was my dream! Tonight, once again it will captivate minds during a night inspired by innovation, with the sound of music equally modern for its time,

Reminiscent of the sounds of the machines of my dear and Monumental Tower. From where I am, I contemplate it, and I see it evolving with its time… And it makes me so proud to see that the Tower now embodies much more than just a monument.

It represents the idea of ​​a connected world, where cultures mix and enrich each other through art and science. It reflects the diversity and unity of peoples, and like a beacon, it guides travelers from around the world to the City of Light, Paris.
