First video of my new bike & things I’ve changed so far cost so far £850.

Hi welcome to my latest bike video and what have we here well I was looking for a ride to work bike that was cheaper than all my other bikes and just a basic bike so the way to go was to get a fixed wheel or a Freewheel Bike

And I quite like to look at this one so this is made by a company called quiler qua means uh the one in Spanish and this is the varsity version which is a little bit up from their basic bike um these bikes retail at £520

Um but I made a few changes to this bike so it’s probably cost me near uh 8 to 900b um it’s made out of um steel the front is made out of steel and it’s crime Wy 4130 which is pretty basic steel um it’s got quiller’s own wheel set on

It with quer hubs they’re quite shiny deep section um one of the changes that we made was uh change the tires to pan eraser rib M 25 mm uh the standard bike comes with Ball Horn bars and tiny little brake leevers so that was the first thing I

Decided to change so I ordered the drop bars which were 60 quid extra and wet and Cycles put on these nice Tetro brake labers I Chang the stem cu the front of bars were a little bit too low for me and the reach was a little bit too

Far so I changed to a nice shiny Temple stem there that I already had uh moving on to the saddle I change the saddle uh standard saddle is fairly good but I just like the look of this saddle better and I’ve got this saddle one on my bike so it’s a really comfortable

Saddle made by fabric uh it’s designed to flex a little bit as you sit on it um added the bottle cage which I already had and I bought a another laign pump they’re quite nice pumps these pumps little bit awkward to use but I find them okay uh put on Hope race

Pedals MTI bite pedals um this B comes with a 44 to front chain ring and 170 mm crank which is a little bit less and I usually ride I ride 172.5 normally um yeah it can be a six wheel or a Freewheel it’s set up as a Freewheel Bike in the

Moment so we changed the gearing the standard gearing is 72 in so we put an 18 too sprocket on there which lows the gear into 6 6 4 if you look on the other side you can swap the wheel around and ride it as a

Fixed so if I swap this wheel around it will be a 72 in fixed um as I live in a fairly hilly area um I’m going to lower ear the gear in a little bit more to maybe a 58 or a 61 in gear to get up the hills a little

Bit better on the way home but on the way to work this bike the gearing on this bike is probably about right uh I can cruise at 18 mph on the way to work yeah so another change we I just we just made today the brakes were pretty the brake calipers were pretty

Enough so I had this one in the drawer from another bike this is a 2006 Shimano 105 rear caliper and a little bit cheaper Shimano front caliper we couldn’t get the 105 matching front one to work on the front it was not uh long enough the reach wasn’t long enough but

This one is okay there so one of the things I like about this bike is the color very nice light metallic blue this is the Cambridge uh version in the vcity range um bike weighs 10 kilo and I would say I probably spent 8 to 900 on this

Bike as it is at the moment a lot of that was the the pedals C the pedals were about £30 so there you have it Aila Cambridge vity model in light metallic blue catch you later
