Are the ones celebrating them themselves the more what if I say to the men the more you clap for the women to celebrate God in their life the faster your testimony will come put those hands together for Jesus put those hands together for Jesus amen so we are thanking God on behalf of
Our mothers and we know as we give thanks unto God God is going to do more even for our lives in the name of Jesus every day is for our mothers but today has been chosen to celebrate them specially all over the world the Bible says concerning Jesus in John
11:42 the scripture says he celebrated God he gave thanks and the scripture says Lazarus that was dead came forth to life therefore whatever you don’t celebrate cannot be an help meate whatever you don’t celebrate can not indeed be an help meate our first prayer this even uh this morning right
We are going to give thanks unto God for our mothers the Bible says in James 1:1 17 every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the father of light with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning you are going to lift up your hands this
Morning and give thanks unto God for all our mothers open your mouth this morning appreciate the name of the Lord if you are a mother thank God for yourself give God all the praise this morning exalt the name of the Lord Magnify Him let everything within you give thanks unto

Statement amen so who can tell me how important a woman is can anybody tell us how important a woman is a woman hey yeah how important are you can we have a man who can tell us here how important a woman is can we do without them

Christ you cannot discount the place of mothers it took Mary to birth Jesus into ministry right and after Jesus resurrected who saw Jesus the resurrected Jesus who and if you would like me to also intimate you with something very different this morning I hope you know

I will just go randomly so I pick a question and I will throw it to one of you and then you attempt to answer the questions in the best way that you can if you want you add a Biblical you know support you know for you know establishing your point across is that
Okay thank you very much so the first question is um why exactly is Mother’s Day special to you um so I’ll take it from here Dr adisha you’ll start off praise God hallelujah I well on the personal level I when you say some is special I always try to create my own
But then when it then comes to collectively and everybody said the day is special of course at some point you go along with it but you get to a point that you have to find out for yourself why should you consider this day important it’s just the same way that
Some of us are born into a Christian home you are a Christian because of where you are born but at some point you have to decide why are you a Christian so considering Mother’s Day you know coming to know about Mother’s uh Mother’s Day as a day I got to a point I
Just sat down and reflect know where I was as at that time and the road that my mom I wasn’t married then my mom played in my life getting me to that point and I think if there’s any anything I would remember is that she never kept quiet so
Every time I’m thinking some our words keep coming to my mind and you know that’s that connection that yes even though she’s not physically there I could still hear our voice you know talk our correction and everything in my he so I think even remembering the
Sacrifice that she has played in my life you know I just shared this very person I remember at some point maybe I was in primary 4 primary 6 I was sick then and you know in Nigeria you take injection and I remember having to take this
Injection maybe every 4 hours or every 6 hours and my mom has to back me to the General Hospital on her back for every of those injection and you know coming back and thinking even where I am today of course without a sacrifice perhaps I wouldn’t be here so that sacrifice is
Very significant and thank you very much drisha for that stimulating response um so I will go with you dicka um do you think women are being appreciated enough and what can men do to appreciate these wonderful mothers for the love they’ bestowed us all to answer that question I think it’s
Um it’s something that has to do with individual your perspective first I think uh you need to recognize women uh the role they play uh in our lives first and foremost uh as a wife um as a mother once you can recognize then you can begin to take take notes the things
That they do then you are able to appreciate so generally people can say uh I appreciate my wife I love my wife but we know that you need sacrifice if you’re saying you need to appreciate or show love you need to show sacrifice if someone has done something women play
Important role so how do you show that first and formost words fine always tell them that you love them you appreciate them whenever they do things secondly take out time to specially treat them you know give them special treat not just on Mother’s Day like this or on women’s day thank you
Thank you that is very very important most of the times we forget to do that we are carried away with you know the hling and bustling and the career take our time do that pray for them in the place of prayer you know buy them gifts women love gifts you know the
Lord yeah buy them gifts you know women love gifts uh those are simple way because of time I I will stop them well well I’m sure they don’t want you to stop because of time but stop you the moment they heard buy them gift you need
To see people you could go on to say give them money you know women love money that’s the point you get that’s the point ex I that’s what they were waiting for yes that’s the point thank you very much please pass the mic to the
Brother there uh I said I was going to put you on the spot um sorry uh but just on a lighter note it seems as though you have a limited wealth of experience uh because you you you can only talk about your mother at the moment
We we are not sure whether you can talk about a wife then we have to hold an encounter Retreat for you a amen okay um so um so what do you appreciate about your mom that’s the only question we can give you I’m sorry
Thank you very much um I would put it in general mom I call my sisters I put them in the phrase of you know my mom as well um so what do I appreciate about the mothers in my life I’ll put it that way okay if that’s right yeah um a lot what
I appreciate can not be overemphasized in a sense that from time in Memorial from birth the sleepless nights you know I was SE in a video on Instagram some days ago the the mother of the child the child was not well you know you know how
A new born baby refuses to sleep so the father had the child for like an hour and then the mother was awake all through the night our mothers went through that so from time in Memorial from birth down to the sacrifices down to the love the provision there’s
Something my mother does a lot which is words of affirmation if I speak to my mom for 5 minutes for 3 minutes so I don’t over over um exaggerate for 3 minutes she’s praying she’s telling me you will go find life whatever you lay your hands will prosper when I was
Coming here she my dad was not able to meet me up in Nigeria before I left it was my mom she paid the sacrifice that was how far she could go you know to make sure she could see me before I left and she Ned down with me you would go
Far you won you won’t make mistake when making life Partners as well you know amen amen I’m even near down in my heart too so amen so so it’s a lot um it’s a lot I can’t start you know pointing out you know why I appreciate the mothers in
My life or why I appreciate my it’s just a lot and as as you said Mother’s Day is not enough to appreciate our mothers you know it’s not enough if you have a mother in your life you don’t know how lucky you are oh so that’s a thank you

Of the church that we are in right now place of Victory you recognize that um a huge number of people that we have are migrant parents okay migrant mothers and if you have me to say this there is a thin line between the concept of submission and subjugation right so in
Nigeria there seem to be a perspective that husbands and wife have so they take that reality and they bring that reality into a place like this all right so I I just want Dr adisha to offer some some tips on how men can support mothers their wives
Right here in the United Kingdom let me be specific um it is it the please you must do this you must cook this food for me and why I’m sitting down or I need to go and work you need to work and then once you come home prepare the table before
Me in presence of my enemies is it should that be the reality praise God I believe the reality starts from understanding that we are Partners we are a team and if you again I don’t want to go to football now but you know that in the game of football a
Single person cannot be the goalkeeper cannot be the defender cannot be the midfielder cannot be the striker so it means that understanding that yourself and your wife you must partner together in order for you to achieve your common goal again for every for people coming together in marriage there is a goal why
Are you married so if you understand that there is a reason why you are married then you should also understand that your wife in that picture is a partnership now coming to an environment like this for many of us you don’t have access to the help you used to have in
Nigeria then you now come to you also understand that in this sit in this environment for you to actually live above average life both of you need to be in employment now you would then not expect that the woman who has also gone for a 12 hours shift or even 9 to5 to
Then come back and do everything while leaving the house in a you know in an unkempt way so I would say understanding that this woman is your partner and because you love her you don’t want her to die prematurely you want to live life together so it means that you have to be
Ready to take some stress off are it includes child know training the children taking care of the children and also even in terms of house CH you know for example I could I remember just a few days ago my my mother-in-law is around and we having a chat and after
Cooking in the kitchen I came back and my mother in-law was talking about the food and I said Mama Grandma I I caught the vegetable you know I also I just said that on a light just to make know the phun but the truth is your wife
Cannot be in the kitchen and you just sit down and say bring the food you also have to be part of it even if you can’t cut andc thank you sir and praise God so so even if you can’t cut be there to encourage robber shoulder play with her
Joke with her and just be part of the journey together praise God and the reality of it is such Act of love go a long way in actually making the woman realize that you value her and when a woman realize that you value her she can go all out for you God bless
You see this she said yes sir I’m sure my my my wife in her mind is seeing tell them I know okay thank you very much for that answer yeah um the next question is to you dicka um what is the most remarkable Biblical advice you have received from your wife or your
Mother thank you very much now um to start off um my mother would always start with um prayers like uh my brother said every time it’s prayers from one scripture to another you know Proverbs uh 2029 you know you stand before Kings and not before M men you know that’s
Always that’s always a scripture that you know don’t worry where you are now you will stand before great kings in the future to come and for my lovely wife uh yes lovely lovely and always uh by the grace of God so she would always um tell me that you would lend to Nations
Uh that that day is still coming that you will lend to Nations uh you know that’s our words also that you will grow you know when the Bible says I beloved I wish that you will prosper in all ramification that’s those are a major scripture always thank you okay please

Wins um okay thank you I would say generally in my successes so far my WIS so far 100% impact in the sense that you’ve heard this word you left home to feed home yeah so you are always at the back of your mind you know there’s somebody looking up to you there’s somebody
Pushing you there are people you know that want you to be successful there are people that always backing you up with prayers and I had an experience when I was in the University um I was going to take the bike to school one day and I
Was just out my mom she doesn’t call like my dad calls but when she calls you know we speak and so she called it was in the morning and she called where are you said I’m going to school I’m going to take bik she said
No she said don’t take the bike why that was my she said no don’t take the bike go and wait for this for the school BS I’ll be late so she said yeah go and wait and when we got to school oh sorry on our way to school we saw a very very
Terrible accident on our way from the host to the school so it has had a lot of impact spiritually so much financially emotionally you know because if you need to feel love for you to give her you don’t give what you don’t have what you
Don’t have if you get what I mean so emotionally intellectually just name it all around the impact of you know mod love has been there and it’s really really needful So yeah thank you thank you very much Bravo um please please a round of applause for him now come
On don’t worry we’ll celebrate you sir we’ll celebrate you um we cannot discount the tough R of motherhood for single mothers we cannot discount it to be honest and so um this question is just a word of encouragement for the single mothers in what way can we as men support single mothers praise
God I would start by saying uh when I say men in terms of supporting single mothers we have to also differentiate we can’t lump everybody into the same ABS absolutely so if you are maybe a friend within the community Your Role might be a bit different from siblings supporting
Single mothers in their family and I think for many of us the first start starting point is to show them love now when I talk about love I’m talking about the God kind of love right so you just show them love to understand that many are in that position not because of
Their CH of their of their making and God who sees the end from the beginning knows the reason why they are going through that Journey so our own role is not to judge them but to encourage them is to show them love to also understand
That indeed while we are here all we can do is to support them so support can be in words of encouragement support can even be a playing uh okay now let me be very mindful of my word saying playing the father figure for the children because many are times you see the
Children doing certain things have you if you have the opportunity do you just keep quiet and don’t say oh you could do this differently and just that simple words to that child could be the difference that they need that will make a significant difference in their life
So to the mom show them love show them the love of God support them pray for them them and to the children when opportunity Ares I think the best we could do is to just also know play that role as God has given us that wisdom words of counsel supports them and if
Possible offer opportunities to help for example the child is interested in football the mother has to work could you volunteer to say I will take you to football every now and then maybe every once in a month of course you need to have that relationship to be able to
Know that there is a need like that so without having that relationship that discussion you don’t know whether there is a need but what we can do is just walk up to them is there anything you can can help you with this week or as
God will give us that Grace and I think those are things that we can do being intentional in how we support one another and that also applies to everyone whether single mom or not or even the widows as well thank you thank you thank you thank you we appreciate
Your response I just want to say these things here um the reason for having this kind of discussion is not just that we take note of this momentarily and we’ll go back home without internal internalizing what has been said here every man should listen attentively to this discussions because the the the the
Narrative has to change okay so no longer should we have a home where the mothers are complaining about fathers not standing their place don’t lose your priesthood don’t lose your leadership you are meant to provide leadership so don’t be in a home where the mothers every time ask you sir come
And take money devotion they will always be the one to remind you then there’s something wrong about the order of things I’m not saying that women should not but I’m saying that men have to stand in the place of priesthood in their families please don’t derelict
Your duty as a man okay so I’m not saying you should subject your wife to extreme hardship that’s not what I’m saying I’m saying take your place as a leader take your place as a priest do we understand men do we understand no when we say things like this the men are extremely
Quiet I might touching a bad cord okay all right God bless us in Jesus name amen I want to say this very importantly we have a few people who are also in our midst they are mothers in waiting right so we we’ve celebrated mothers but there are also people who are
Expectant so this question goes to Dr adisha sorry I’m I’m putting you on the spot um with your level of knowledge both in the academic world and in the spiritual World sir can you please offer some words of encouragement for mothers in waiting it could be tough for them you know praise
God uh know to the glory of God God blessed us with uh third child just um late last year and I would say in Respec of how many you’ve had the experiences are always different so the fact that you’ve had baby one baby two doesn’t mean baby three will be any
Easier and it’s very easy for us as men to then say uh but you’ve been here before so why are you behaving this way but I think for U the my words of encouragement to the expectant mother is you know just hold on to God what that has
Brought you this far will not leave you the pain the discomfort might be there but just hold on to God because indeed God has a purpose for choosing you to bet that child into the world and I think for God sees your ability your know he has given you that Grace to be
In that position to bring that gift that Destiny into the world so embrace it the pain will be there yes but then hold on to God for the encouragement and as you go through you know the the journey uh my uh my encouragement to the Brothers as well is be available you know
Sometimes you might think oh but I’ve done this I’ve done that for you before but again you have to do it do more because essentially it wasn’t a one person’s decision you both were in from the beginning so you have to go through the Journey with your wife as they go on
A daily basis and to be honest sometimes the days count very fast and sometimes it’s like we are waiting for eternity for the next next day to come but I will encourage sisters also in the place of prayer it’s very important for know expectant mother to pray pray for

Meetings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on a Sunday like this by the grace of God we have our two Services one from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 and then from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. for the second service however in between we have our Sunday school but for the sake of the
Event that is happening today there won’t be any Sunday school but starts from 11:45 to 12:25 hallelujah amen every Tuesday by the grace of God we have our youth in Christ Fellowship they meet here in church from the hours of 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to 9: p.m. rather
