Associative property of Shimano (and how to avoid buying ridiculously overpriced STI levers).
Hypothesis: If 11 speed MTB RD can be shifted by an 11 speed road shifter with a Wolf Tooth Tanpan 11 (or Jtek), and a 12 speed MTB RD can be shifted by an 11 speed MTB shifter, then a Tanpan 11 can make 12 MTB shiftable with 11 speed road shifter.

Discussion: seems alright on the stand and circling the cul de sac. Slight bumb in the middle of cassette. 11 speed chain is new but fully degreased so it should smoothen a bit but might be a link short. Probably need to tweak the tension a bit and reexamine the b-screw as this is my first 12 speed RD.
Summary: it’s better than the Roadlink DM/GRX 812/Garbaruk cage (shit wrap retention).
