The person I got it from said they had made some modifications. Not really sure what mods they had done since I don’t know much about bikes. It was cheap, the bike was fully functional (although dirty), so I wasn’t too worried.

Bike rides great, all the gears work, brakes behave as expected, etc.

All I’ve done is clean it thoroughly (soap and water, degreaser, sponge and the works), then I lubed the chain and any other moving part. It cleaned up very well, but I’m not sure if what hobbyist would think. I’ve also added bar tape. I’m sure I did a poor job, but the original foamy thing was horrible, so I did this for now until I get more practice in. (I followed a video, seemed fine for now.)

Could anyone help me better ID the bike? I know it’s a Fuji Espree, but not sure what year. I’d really like to replace the brake hoods, but I have no idea what I actually need. Are there specific hoods made for this bike?

I took pictures of the tires because I’m not sure if they need replaced. Seems to have a reasonable amount of tread, has held air for weeks now, but I don’t know what needs replaced.

Thanks for any help! Just want to take care of it and keep it for life 🙂 Trying to commute everywhere on it and having fun.
