I am Alejandro moneris and I’m currently doing my first year of the double degree agreement between the Technical University of Valencia in my hometown in Spain and Telecom Paris my home University is one of the leading technological universities in Spain in covering all fields of engineering I’ve studied the bachelor’s and master’s
Degree in telecommunications at the school of telecommunication engineering and during the fourth year of my bachelor I also did a 10 month Exchange in another University in France Atlantic I’ve studied in a French school since I was four years old so my French level is pretty high and I also during
High School I’ve known about the recognized Grande call and the double degrees that are offered at the Technical University of Valencia when I uh started my bachelor in telecommunications I already knew I wanted to do a double degree in France in Telecom courses are divided into
Study tracks or what are called f and they are either in English or in French in my personal case I chose embedded systems and large data digital infrastructures I think there’s a good mixture between formal lectures and practical work here at Telecom teachers are really helpful and they really make
Sure you fully understand uh the topic regarding housing there’s an application portal for the whole campus that I applied before coming but my application unfortunately got rejected but then I contacted the housing service of Telecom Paris for a solution and they could offer me a room only 1 minute away from
Campus housing tends to be uh pretty expensive in the Paris area but you can get housing allowance that can reduce up to a third the price of rent we have a Sports Association that has many Partnerships with that can give you access to different H facilities on
Campus or near campus for example we’ve got access to the Loc local swimming pool for free with the Sports Association I really think one of the most attractive things in French engineering school and in this case Telecom Paris is it’s associative life so there are plenty of student clubs
Where you can gather with people with the same interests as you as well as discover new things you may never have thought of there’s also the students office that often organize uh weekly events in on campus and also organizes some weekends for instance the weekend anra that is specifically aimed at
Newcoming students to discover their promotions and start making new friends and new connections other associations organize different weekend trips for instance I’ve been to a hiking trip to the Alps I’ve been to a sailing trip to the Britany region in France and I’ve also been to a a touristic trip uh to
Colog in Germany there’s also a different events organized with more focus on International students for instance we have the student international student of office that organized several visits to Paris and we’ve also got on campus The Village F where different uh French students presented their uh typical H Food of
Their regions to International students all in all I will encourage uh every student that is thinking of doing a double degree in Telecom Paris to do it not only because of its academic Excellence but also because I think the associative life makes for a very enriching personal experience he
