I actually filmed this over two weekends, as I had to abandon the first ride about a third of the way to Whitney, as my tyre went flat. I run tubeless, but hadn’t topped it up over the winter, so re-inflating failed and I had to use the emergency inner tube…..which turned out to have a faulty valve. So had to make the call of shame for a lift home 😀.
I came back this week. The opening shot shows the park and ride carpark underwater. You can see some bikes covered almost up to the saddles. The drone shot is from today a week later and the water level had dropped, but most of it was still submerged!
