Sooo I recently bought an Old Man Mountain Divide Rack for my Cutthroat. I’ve put about 200 miles on it so far. I’m planning to use it for the GDMBR. I have used 2 different dry bags on it (20L) and have had issues multiple times. The vibration of the bike when riding off road will cause the bag to chafe on the rack- I’ve had the bag creep forward and start rubbing on the tire- and another issue was the zip ties that secure to the seat stay have slid down 2 times (even with cranking them as tight as possible). Has anybody had issues like this with this rack? Any suggestions? I’m leaning towards just finding 2 lower profile panniers instead of having a bag mounted on top. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks!
