Hi everyone,
I’m helping a friend set up a brand new Ultimate cf sl, everything else fits like a glove except the right side handlebar. The outer screw doesn’t go all the way in. It only turns 2,5 rotations instead of the 6 on the other ones. When looking into the hole, it looks like there is a piece of metal at the back blockin the way. Almost looks like the thread end of a bolt diagonal to the one we need to tighten.
Anyone knows the innards of the handlebar, would it be safe to carefully drill the protruding part away to fit the screw?
I could shorten the screw, but it’s not the safest option.
Sending the bike back to Canyon for replacement also isn’t an optimal solution, as the size/model is out of stock and apparently is available in June.
Anyone had Canyon replace only the cockpit?
Any tips or ideas are welcome.
