My MIL gave us her bike she got as an anniversary present almost 40 years ago. Her husband worked at a custom bike shop for professional racers in 84/85 and ordered the frame from Italy. I found one other white frame specialissima on the Internet, but as far as I can tell, in 83 (through 85?) this was only available in Celeste. There’s forums I’ve found that say some bianchi frames from Italy came from a town just outside Milan called verghoza that sold frames from the professional line, indications being badging, colors, and serial numbers not being consistent with others from the same era productions, but this sounded like a theory more than a known fact.
Any information would be very helpful! His dad built the rims and spokes himself, so we’d like to restore it and keep it a family heirloom.
