This is a bike I got two years ago with the thought of renovating it or at least trying to make it run with some more modern components. Now I’m trying to put together a plan on how to make that happen.
As the label says, the brand is Goricke. They used to make motorcycles and bikes as well apparently. The bike looks like it could be made in the 1960’s.
I’m baffled with the bottom bracket type, anyone knows what this is and if it could be replaced with a square tapered one?
Another problem comes with the fork, sadly, it’s bent. I don’t think recovering that is possible, but how do I find a new threaded one with the perfect amount of thread?
At first I guessed that the rear fork is also bent to the right, but it seems that this is just a way of fitting the cogs in the fork.
I’ll take any advice regarding the upgrades and restoration.
