In the market for a gravel bike.

Bio. 60yr old, I have ridden a lot of road and gravel. Some road circuit racing, one gravel race. I want to more gravel racing! My current “gravel” bike is an old Blue CX bike.

Started looking for a good used rig in the 1-2k$. Ha!! Now looking between $3k and $5k

Now I am looking at:

Trek Checkpoint [link](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/bikes/road-bikes/gravel-bikes/checkpoint/checkpoint-sl/checkpoint-sl-6-axs/p/35170/?colorCode=red_reddark)

Specialized Diverge Comp Carbon [link](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/diverge-comp-carbon/p/221371?color=367660-221371&searchText=95424-5158)

Santa Cruz Stigmata Apex Carbon [link](https://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en-US/bikes/stigmata)

I was pretty sold on the diverge but it comes with the lowest level SRAM (Apex) eTap. I have had a lot of gravel rides with numb hands from shock/vibration so the “Future Shock” feature is appealing.

The Santa Crux Stigmata has some sort of different geometry that makes me nervous and comes with 2X in low level Apex manual shifter.

The trek has a groupset that is one level up and is cheaper but no suspension and only comes in a red that I am not so into. (There is some sort of seat post “suspension”) but I only weigh 155lbs so I don’t expect much from that)

So I guess it is between the Checkpoint and the Diverge. I am tempted to go with the Diverge, trading the better groupset for the Future Shock thing.

Thoughts?

Thanks
