Truly enjoy having a beater bike in the stable..
Last month I let a friend who doesn’t really ride fixed borrow this bike during our monthly critical mass ride, he crashed into another cyclist (lightly).
I genuinely had no care that he crashed my bike and gave it air time. My first thought after asking if he was okay was “ well it’s a beater 🙂 “ it’s ok.
Since then, I have added a front brake to ride the freewheel cog & have stopping power!
