Wing um or playing a quick one two with a attacking mid midfielder straight onto the uh either Bolton or Mecca and that’s why we want those two guys that’s why he wanted those those two two guys because they’re very good at carrying and Crossing he wants them so so he wants to

Yeah same as with the right wing back in this case he’s moving up straight away they want to create this triangle as soon as possible if this guy the other Striker is free he will receive a def deflect ball straight away either to run on and

Uh take a shot or to receive and play a quick one two with the same Striker again just a quick bounce over here but usually this guy has to like like we were saying last last night uh Mullen is getting double teamed all the time nice uh Carol I’ll pass to you by

Example Max sends one over to Mclean maybe uh or in the area of mcleen and and uh uh like on the left McQueen Lee just into that area maybe just past the center line having a couple people that aren’t Strikers be able to race in that’ll take and then if they want cover

They’re going to have to bring the people who are double team in mes are GNA have to come and cover and then you know we have some really talented people that have excellent passing skills that can properly beat them to the ball and get the ball to the striker so I mean

There’s there’s all kinds of [ __ ] that we can do if we want to keep the ball in the air like he were saying but we just don’t do the thing the crazy thing I’ve seen us do all these things that we talked about I’ve been watch I’ve seen

Every single game this year and I’ve seen us do it I’ve seen us bring the ball up every single Defender we have I’ve seen him play the ball up on the on the ground I’ve seen him play appropriate passes I’ve seen him do little triangles and it’s just I we

Don’t seem to as we’ve gone on um we just kind of have this habit as you say just kind of mimicking teams and just we’ve never learned to play uh against the Press um when we first played MK Dons I was like wow they’re big and

They’re fast and uh we need to do something against the press three games later I’m like man we really should figure out how to do something against the press seven games later we really should you and it’s like we’ve never learned how to play against a press I’ll

Yield with that but uh yeah I I we have the tools and we have the talent we just need to execute so I’m trying to figure out the best way to here sorry on that note and I’ll pass to I’ll pass to IES um you know I agree we haven’t been able

To deal with the press for we do have the players to deal with the Press so I think that leads up to the manager right do we is that something we can well look to get back to uh the initial comment about why don’t we use the opportunity to exploit the extra

Space when Mullen is double teamed Mullen is double teamed only if it needs to happen because that ball is not going the long ball is not going to Mullen the ball is going to Palmer yeah the ball is going to Fletcher and they will double team on

Moing only if that guy who is the hold up forward hold up Striker only if he successfully receives it the challenge for us because that guy the hold up Striker when he receives that ball Palmer is slow he can’t turn and and run so the second that happens his only option is

To either lay lay it off with a quick header onto Mullen that’s when he’s going to get double teamed or pass it back to the attacking mid midfielder over here and just like I was saying before why did you why did did I say yesterday the long balls are relatively

Easy to counter is because the guy who’s receiving that long ball doesn’t have too many options does he yeah makes very predict too very predictable he has three options essentially he either is going to play it across lay it off into the free space for the other Striker

He’s either going to feed it back to the central mid Midfield or he’s going to try and turn around with the ball in exceptional cases if your wing backs are super fast that can be an option too not in our case we don’t get that unfortunately good note there by Aaron

Uh is Parky just playing the odds when we play long ball just figures if you kick 40 balls deep maybe to get through and that’s worth it so put that well precisely that’s why you know how he’s always saying before the game’s out this game is going to get ugly and it’s going

To be tough game it’s going to be tough yaka it’s going to be ugly he doesn’t mind that he wants that ugly and that’s exactly why he’s doing that yes he’s going to send 40 balls up two of them might work and we’ll we’ll score one that makes me

Furious same I especially knowing that we have Gio for example we have gi and and and and Lee in the center that opens up for this continuous rotation like if you just rotate these guys and slide them at the same time like that’s just basics that’s basics of

Natural position as a CDM MH because he’s the only natural player who can carry the ball up without lofting it without sending it long he naturally is it’s his it’s it’s in his blood to carry the ball up and start short so Parky doesn’t have to coach that he can just

Rely on that guy to take the ball move up the pitch to see the options there will be a triangle there will be a diamond and they will start passing the ball around we only get that’s why that’s why stash is so important for us because he yeah he can do that

Um the um the reason why I love 451 so much and the reason why people don’t like playing against it even video games is because when you’re playing 451 you have you’re effectively playing two systems at the same time 451 in attack is 433 does it make

Sense y you don’t have to change much at all yeah shift movement and everything y ex yeah and and 433 is a affirmation of a famous Tik taka Barcelona team short pass ultimate short pass for formation is 433 so 451 allows a skilled manager with skilled players to defend really

Surprised because 3552 the way we play it does not work too well against 451 because 451 is equally good at defending long balls and overloading your defense as well as quick Counterattack because you have an option of switching to 433 seamlessly and we have right and we have slow

Proper football coaching when when he was a kid uh he needs to he’s he’s got great promise he’s got he’s a great athlete he’s he’s your T he’s your typical he’s your typical African player that that’s what you see nine out of 10 times with African players I’m not being

Racist here I’m just talking about the treats of different uh of of different teams yeah African players are very athletic they’re very stubborn they’re very fast but most of them when they come with when they don’t go through European School of football they lack they lack tactical knowledge they they they lack football

Smarts I do think that the international play did him a world good and that’s just what you said like more the more coaching the more exposure he gets to other players other systems you know the better for a player like myy but I’m glad we have him I mean as a backup he’s

Definitely more than capable so yeah uh that’s the thing I I I look at to um you know the I mentioned this about the US players I think they’re all very athletic I don’t think they have the skills you know of it too skill uh go

Ahead I’m sorry go ahead no no you go I just think when we if we scrap by into next season I mean that’s why I was fairly certain we’re going to have to spend at least a few years in League one we’re gonna have to rebuild almost our whole entire team

To be able to compete uh because I mean what you have in League one is a lot of teams who played in the championship that have been relegated and just kind of in there for a while or a lot of teams that are banging for that Championship

Spot and they’ve bought a lot of really players for a lot of millions of dollars uh and that we don’t have the financial Edge that we have in in League 2 and national league right so it’s more of an even playing field and we’re just gonna

Have to pay our dues I mean it’s a it’s it’s a it’s a crazy season it’s it’s I mean I’m I’m rewatching the Sunderland series uh now and I mean just yeah it’s um almost almost every team in League one played in Premier League almost every team in League one they have those

Are clubs with big following big history big ambition no matter no matter how strong how weak they are at one given time one given season so you um yeah we are up against a different kettle of fish kieren says the only thing they struggle with I think he’s referring to

Who we’re playing on NS degree of was our press meaning a newport’s press we weren’t up to fully commit to it due to fatigue it’s difficult to play a press against a team with pass uh with such effic efficiency that’s good for KN because uh we we were not going to press

Him anyway so yeah uh going on there too they help with a league two press no with no worries they will likely stay with his football with great succession till higher end of The League one they have the quality to persist in my opinion uh Mar and Mullen upfront would

Be interesting I think it would be interesting uh McLean goes right right to the line but not over it go back to McLean Ral America providers um Mike says some same on suly the quality of passing and ball control compared to rexim is night and day our passing let’s talk about passing real

Weekend uh and uh and um uh Luke came in and thought he did thought he represented him P really well now if we don’t have Gio who’s probably our best player in the squad I believe what are we gonna be doing is it gonna be more

Long ball we at home what do you think yes going to be more long ball I don’t see any other option to be honest I don’t know man I I think that I think Luke young is capable enough to play through a press um even a not County

Press um I man he’s a good Captain he’s a good midfielder I mean he’s not he’s not the best but I mean he’s got a ton of heart he’s got great service so I mean and he’s one of 11 right so yeah you know what I mean um

Playing through the Press is not a so you will get a moment of individual Talent going around the player taking somebody oneon-one or even going through two guys but that’s not a reliable s system getting out of press is a team effort Luke young is more than adequate

To play on this level he played on a higher level before but he is not vely Superior like uh Evans say no no no no no he’s not he’s nowhere close to the player that Evans is right but I feel comfortable having him in the Midfield you know what I mean I thought

I thought he and Carol I thought he played well when he came on I I I really I felt like he was putting himself about maybe he was trying to make an effort but I really felt he was pretty in this when he came on and that you know I’m

Hoping Gio tou wood so Luke young Luke young is just to sort of to give you my understanding of the type of a player yuk young is what we call a wave breaker he is he’s a destroyer more than a Creator not a deep line yeah yeah he’s a he’s what’s called

A wave breaker which is a great quality to to have a certain if you’re playing five in the middle you need you need to have one of those guys but in this case Lee and K hello that’s sorry it’s my yeah it’s my I got so when you when you play five in
