A speed session during week 2 of Mission 40 training; 5 reps of 1-mile efforts with a 2-minute float recovery in between.

I decided to take the camera out and check in after each rep, it kept me honest and occupied my brain during the reps. I will try to do more of this going forward, to capture more of my training for Mission 40.

A good solid workout, and so far, so good in terms of 10k training. I’m feeling healthy at the moment, and I think my training is well balanced between intensity for improvement, but not too taxing leading to fatigue.

Mission 40 training will continue to increase, intermittently broken up with races I am pacing in February and March. Next up is Wrexham Village Bakery Half Marathon this Sunday…….

Hello welcome back to the channel so I’m on the last run of uh week two today is 5X 1 mile with a 2 minute float recovery so let’s get on with It Rep one done 416 perk average I think 651 per mile So the plan is hopefully all five reps below 7 Minute miles 420 is perk but we’ll see how it goes yeah about a minute left of recovery and then inter rep two I’ll check in in a bit Uh rep two was a 419 perk 653 per mile so bit of a headwind this way felt quite tough but yeah two down thre to go feeling Okay Rep 3 was 421 Paquet or 657 per mile kind of pace myself a little bit on that one with it being the third middle one hump two left put a bit more into this ones but hope we get them all under seven yeah hopefully the winds

Di down now two solid reps I’ll check in out the next One Fourth rep was uh 423 I think 7 701 so I’m bit disappointed with that one took me half the ball a little bit with the pace but one last rep hopefully the this one the best one that would not be a bad workout done but yeah it was just loose

Plans today was five sub seven minute miles with two minute floats but still got a good workout in I’ll check in after the last [Applause] One Workout done might get the last one out in 411 perk or 640 per mile so pushes average back down cuz I was a bit disappointed with that fourth rep yeah good solid workout happy with that’s gone I say it was just a bit of a Tempo

Uh blast today five times five times one mile get back in the rebot FL rides I’ve not been in them for a few weeks with all the shoe testing Etc yeah ended up being 12K total obviously 1K warm up and cool down uh five times 1 mile and then

Uh 2 minutes of float kind of drug recovery I probably should have maximized them a little bit more made it more difficult than I should have done I was running them at kind of a steady is easy Pace rather than a nice easy Pace but yeah workout done um this Sunday

Coming I’ll be down in reom I’m going to be pacing the 150 half marathon down at the rexam Village Bakery half marathon so anyone uh anyone racing that or running that I’ll see you down there if not look out for the race day Vlog that’ll publish in probably about 10

Days time uh but yeah week two of uh Mission 40 done that was kind of a kind of sample 10K workout five times 1 mile but yeah I’ll do this recap uh on Tuesday and that’ll probably published next week the week two uh recap yeah look out for my oncoming ongoing week of
