After rolling around with a wet butt while running errands I’ve decided to throw in for some fenders. Local shop carries PDW so that’s probably what I’m going with. I’m a little confused about sizing though.

Here’s their fender sizing site

Poking around with a tape measure shows I have ~47mm on the seat stay (closer to 50 up front). I’m currently using 700x28mm wheels, but once those go I’d like to go bigger. The frames info says that I can fit ’38 with fenders and 42 without’ (2013 soma double cross).

According to their site the 37s are the way to go (43 width), so I picked up a set of those. However I measured the width out of curiosity and they’re reading almost exactly 37. If that same is true for the 45s, wouldn’t the 45s make more sense? I’m probably missing something here.

I did reach out to PDW, but they’re closed on weekends and it’s way easier for me to exchange them over the weekend.
