Cycling in beautiful you know area in and around Tor so tell us all about it exactly so I have to okay to show you a presentation just to give you the idea of what we are talking about so Pont is in the to the northwest of Italy Torino
Is the capital city and as you can see it is surrounded by the Alps and in fact Pon means at the foot of the mountains and this are also the Winter Olympics in 2006 around Torino this is the a map of the province of Torin so in this area
That is a unesc protected area the Po River the river Po and the hills around Torino you can find uh and you can do fantastic uh fantastic um um hiking trails by bike or food if you want and discover this great crossing of the hills of Torino this is the hill
Around Torino in fact with fantastic views of the city and um over the centuries this subalpine area was also place where major fortification were built in fact in this area for example in the Souza Valley you have a fantastic Fort the fort of Fest is Europe’s biggest fortified structure and the
Largest wet construction after the Great War of China so if you want to experience oh wow great world don’t go to China come to Torino and this is the symbol this fort is the symbol of the province of toin since 1999 um as you can see in to the north
We have the city of IA and the canab area uh the canab area is fantastic because we have the moric amphitheater of irraa that is that Witnesses the quary glaciations and here there are contous path for everyone lakes and rivers in which you can practice many type of water sport and these are
Protected area too but in the province of Trin you can also experience the Via Fran rout we have four roots of the Via Fran the Fran way that is an itinerary of Fate uh the Pilgrims from the Western Europe come to um to Pon to Traverse the
Route and go to Rome for a pilgrimage and here you can find places often suspended in time a fantastic landscape and also this this wonderful that is the symbol of the Pont region and it is in the Souza Valley that is in the area around ailana it’s also a place in which we
Have many important natural parks for example the ailana area is uh is um well known for the aana lake natural park but not only of course we have also the uh uh alpic cots in Natural Parks and uh in the North to the north uh Northwest we have the grand paradisa
National park that is the oldest uh protected area in Italy it’s a u around set around the ground Paradiso massive 4,000 meters high and it’s plenty of woods valleys Lakes rocks glassier in which you can also find uh Ebe IEX shamoa marmots and golden eagles uh so you can combine physical activity
And Sport food and wine and history um just yes it’s fantastic in fact it’s my favorite place but there is also another favorite place at just one hour from Torino you can find the Fantastic area the Vala vone that in winter is very famous for ski so this
Area is a fantastic IC place for passionate about Outdoor Sports and you can do hiking tracking cycling Road mountain bike itineraries for those who like hiking for example there are Roots different seated according to greater or less difficulties and for those who simply want to go tracking there are
Path and TRS for everyone for example the challenging GTA that is the great Traverse of the Alps it’s an Alpine Crossing and uh for those who just want to to do tourist trials uh to for younger Walkers or people with disabilities it is possible to do other part so we have uh
All itineraries and of course after a walk you can uh taste the typical product in the refugees around the the area if you like if you like the vi ferat if you are f Roots running on rocks and Via ferat or Tibetan Bridges then you can find a fantastic area in
The valza the main vat in fact are in the Vala near the sakra and in the shabon mountain okay this is the Alpine um area of the shabon Mantic so this is another military for it is possible to reach the top and see a fantastic landscape um in chisana t not in Tibet
We have also the longest Tibetan bridge in the world 478 MERS long wow so if you like adrenaline adrenaline you can go there I was there on Sunday Last soror ask I W to ask you to get to that to this bridge you have to go for a long hike how do
You get there I mean it’s a no no it’s so simple okay look at this the this map so it’s in this area 1 hour from toine and then you you you reach the the starting point of the bridge and you cross the the valley it’s fantastic yes
It’s really fantastic very simple to reach and very funny okay uh for those who like uh psycle tourism of course we have uh many opportunities uh spending spending a day biking to enjoy a moment of relax immers in nature is fantastic in we have quite flat roads local restaurants farm houses
But also artistic Beauty like the the Royal residencies that are UNESCO world heritage sites and it is possible to reach them with a bike uh tours and also fantastic uh landscape along the river pole but if you like mountain bike cross country Enduro all Mountain this is the
Place for you especially in aut and in Spring uh is the ideal season to cycle on the hills of Pont um and the roots are designed for those who love the adrenaline that only off-road cycling can offer in summer it is possible also to reach some important uh paks like the
Chaberton or the S pass and last but not least we have of course many uh Road cycling path so thanks to the province of Trin and it’s wide range of roots for bike racing you can finally experience the climbs where uh the champions of the tour the France and challenge each
Other so uh there are very um many places to experience the great emotion Road cycling and today also my the the testimonials that we have here will explain better than me this fantastic places but now I have a video to show you all right let’s see the video then thank you No Oh only we go only Go Go [Applause] your Go [Applause] inside Okay we did this alate dry R you have to tell me what are this crazy people going around with the things that looks like an umbrella upset umbrella what what what is that all about I can hear I think your microphone is off okay try now
No now I think I can no no I can’t so may maybe when you have but let let’s let’s put a pin in that because I will get back to you I want to know what what’s going on with that with that silly things going down the river now
Let’s go back now let’s go to the two testimoni as Veronica was saying before we have this gray sort of two professionals working uh in around Torino where again the bread and butter is dead so outdoor activity cycling and of course I I will start if it’s okay
With you David I’ll start with Gabrielle Chia Gabrielle welcome again again congratulations I see you have a beautiful kid there enjoy now uh so what do you do why should we you know this is cartoon rapid race a fantastic race you hear me okay yeah it’s it’s it
Looks like the demon because your mouth is not moving but I can yes you’re on a delayed okay just hold one second there so Gabrielle I’m going back to you so again congratulation for your kid now what do you do why should we come you
Know in in their area where you work and why is that so extraordinary to try at least once uh when you actually are in Torina so go ahead thank you very much and welcome Gabriel okay okay thank you Franchesco for introducing me and good afternoon to all I am Gabrielle I’m a
Professional hiking guide since 2015 uh which is also the year in which after I quit as a web and graphic designer I founded Duma Kuma that in Italian is an and um it means something like let’s go let’s go that invite us to walk and discover the beauties that we have close to
Touring I organize hiking hiking in pedmont and walking trips all over Italy and Europe and doing that I realize that um here we have some of the best and most beautiful places for hiking uh during during these years the team of dumak Kuma is expanded and now we we are
For ring guides one expert team building trainer and in October I hope we will add also a cycle touring guide um we believe that the best way to know a place is by foot and I would I would like to explain um why Pon is the perfect travel destination to do that um
Um already Veronica already said that Pon is it means at the foot of the mountains and um we are surrounded on the free side by the alpen chain and here you can find the highest peaks and the largest glassier in Italy um and you have also to consider that the 52% of
Our territory is largely covered by mountains and that the overall length of the hiking trails covered about 26,000 kilomet of paths and a lot of Peaks reach 3,000 M of height okay and so the mountains near tin have an imposing and rugged appearance spectacular hates of landcape of singular Beauty with beautiful valleys
With pastur and vast food um for me Ponte is the best place to to walk I think that here you can find some of the most beautiful and fascinating place on the globe perfect for iing tours with an Infinity network of parts that are are also historic Parts because
They were created for various purpose uh this tra this Trails were used in the past to connect Villages and valleys to drive flocks to pastures and to cross alpine passes and while this work of men was one once conceived for M practical use today we can use that um like a
Great opportunity to discover nature and move in an environment full of fashion sight um we offer working experiences in place of high naturalistic historical cultural interest all year round because near touring we have the possibility to walk all year round in spring and summer you can uh reach some paks um some paks
The symbol of valua Valley is a 3,500 meters Pak is the roacha Mone Peak is very famous and an admissible destination for the ier and um in the winter you can also use no shoes that we call chasle to walk in the magic of snow
Um but I think that there are two um two important things one one of of these is that except the Olympic ballets those dedicated to Winter sport uh skiing for example here you can find find authentic places uh because you will find the authentic Italian experience because Pon
Is of the beaten part although more and more people are hearing about about Pon and coming to visit the region remains quite undiscovered so there are some place touristic but the other are not so tourist touristic so the atmosphere is really really authentic and last but not not least uh
Turine is um really near to the to these IES so um you can reach uh easily in 1 hour or one hour one hour and a half a lot of destination a lot of mountain so uh also for this uh also for this touring is an admissible travel
Destination and um I think that’s it yeah no no so perfect thank you thank you for the overall I have a couple of questions of course the first one I can think of because I believe that there after we have a short video but before
We launch that I have I have a couple questions so the first one is like the def the different degree of difficulties of this kind of hike and walk because of course once again you know travel agents through operators are listening but also writers and Al you know so to have given
A sense of what the sort of the the the the landscape looks like you already saw from the video Veronica showed of course a lot of mountains but I made to understand that in and around immediately outside uh you know Torino uh you also can find walk that not
Necessarily super challenged in terms of high you know uphill all that can you expand a little bit of that and tell me what is available or you know what somebody should expect when they decide to Embark and having some hiking around yes yes um there is the
Possibility to to do everything uh you can do you can do you can do uh some uh really um difficult pcks but you can also uh choose between easy uh easy walks easy Trails you can walk in the tour in h and choosing the two day of
The green ring of the uh Hills of Torino and then for example going to balua Valley and um and doing the tour of orer and roab that is not a national park but is a regional park and is also really really beautiful and you can do that in
Five days is a 55 kilometers tour uh quite quite difficult you have to consider We There is not the possibility to uh transfer the luggage so you you need to to bring all all of your stuff on your backpack uh and this is a difficult of course but um consider that
We have an an infinite network of paths we can Um is showing that she’s ready to go she’s look ready we can we can do uh everything if you want easy easy easy Trail we can uh we can do easy Trails there is no no problem if you prefer to say always in the same place go to sleep in the same
Place we can do that and every day do some different different eyes yeah the the last the other question is that I remember asking you when we did the dry run was also you just mention the fact that some of the places that you mentioned are still real and I I and I
Believe that you probably also referring to some Villages small villages that are sort of scattered around and so we discussed uh during the dry run maybe the chances that a lot of people are looking to do to actually move from one Village to the next uh is that something
That is feasible you know it’s reasonable to expect to be able to do one or two Villages by simply walking from one to the next yeah yeah is is is possible of course and in every in every a you you have the possibility to view some villages
Uh so we are we are full of these uh villages and they are really authentic perfect okay so I think we have a short video that shows a little bit a glimpse of what people should expect when they come and uh and you will bring them around let’s take a look at It [Applause] a [Applause] oh perfect beautiful and once again Gabrielle just to make should I understand correctly you run so it’s possible and you are able to accompany these people all the year round so even when the snow comes down like you mentioned you there’s a chance to do
Some of those trail with the with snow shoes or you know yeah choing the safe place because it’s danger in some places but there is no problem in other places so there is no problem got it perfect uh so thank you Gabrielle and then we might
Get back to you now of course we go to the cyclist Enthusiast here that you can see you even have a poster he has his bike is all ready to go and of course is David Chia David So Franco we walked around we saw a lot of stuff we saw
Weird boat going down the river now let’s talk about you know the piece of resistance you know uh bike around so tell us you know everything is possible of course both sort of more on the competitive size and and sort of like people are very enthusiastic but also
People like me who are slightly overweight and really out of shape if you still can enjoy uh a vacation there with a bike in in P so frano thank you for the invitation I’m so glad to be here with you this morning uh well I’m David I’m I’m a
Cycling guide I’m professional cycling guide here in Ponte and I’m based here in in Torino and this is my my full-time job since 2011 so uh I decided to change my life few years ago so I turned to my my passion because um first of all I’m a
Passionate cyclist uh I rode more or less 10,000 kilometers per year and I’m so lucky to have an office just like this so um Torino and Pon the roads of pon of our region so I’m so happy to to share the the roads of my region and so
I used to say that this is my office it is not so bad to be honest I mean cycling in in Torino in Ponte is good for everybody I mean for example uh for beginners and for families as well with kids uh it’s very easy to take a bike and take a tour
Around the historical center of the city uh with The Monuments and with a lot of Attraction but also we had the river poort that is the poort that is flowing through the city uh with so interesting cycling path not so difficult and uh in Natural Parks so it’s good Bo for
Beginning but also for people that is searching something more competitive I mean just the Basilica is super that is on the hills of Torino is only 15 kilometers far from the center and uh from the top you can see a beautiful view of the city and of the chain of the
AL so there’s a good combination of different rides uh but but today I would like to mention a couple of uh my favorite Peaks that also Veronica mentioned before this soua Valley with the fin andri and also the the in the grand the grand Paradiso Park uh probably uh we got some passionate
Cyclist uh looking at at us in this very moment they will know this places so they call it the finer and and is one of the most important calls for cyclist I mean uh the call is discovered recently so in 2005 the jro passed there for the very first time
But um it’s very easy to share also with with people that want to try something different so very uh interesting um Adventure on the mountains of the Galia so you can share the same roads of the heroes of of the jro for example and the
Last time that the jro came on the finer was in 2018 when Chris room uh launched an incredible attack to to get the victory at the J Italia so it’s it’s an experience that it’s okay it’s not for everybody because you need legs but not professional legs we also can customize
A ride on the fness with an ebike now I can also can show a map of the of the ride that I’m I’m mentioning in this very moment so sure let’s take a look at it there you go so um the starting point is is is is from Souza that you can see
Here uh in the Souza Valley that is not far from Torino so this is um you can reach soua by car by Van that that’s what would we do so we arrange a custom tours with with a private van just to provide assistance and also to carry on
The bicycle just at the starting point if people for example is moving from Torino uh and you can see that is is a big loop this is what we call big day also because the distance as you can see is 93 kilometers with a serious elevation of more than 2,000 mters wow
Uh we took paks so the first one is the col as mentioned before for the J Italia there is a beautiful um climb the first part uh departing from from Souza uh is into the boots so uh we can count more than 30 switchbacks in a row soow it’s
Incredible how you you can cycle uh in the shade so it’s is very very uh fresh and cool and gaining elevation very very quickly um then the second part of the climb that is why the K is so famous is the eight kilometers on the gravel um so
Uh you can you can imagine something from from from the professional so you can imagine the peleton passing there uh on a unconventional way of of cycling I mean uh so it’s it’s something something very very interesting and not not far from there we also got cester uh that is
Uh also one more iconic place for for cycling um the Jalan also the Tour of France came there many many times uh if I’m not wrong six times the Jalia finishing finish there in four times the tour France um we also can um remember a incredible escape from the American lens
Armstrong in 1999 was his first victory in the Alps he was he was wearing the yellow Jersey uh but that’s another story yeah you know it’s something complicated talking about last everybody knows that he got an incredible Day on on sestri so uh that that’s what that’s
What we do and uh it will be an incredible uh experience so we used to take people in very small groups because um guys just like just like me want to give an authentic experience of cycling so you don’t have to be a pro um I’m not
A pro I’m not a former professional not at all um I prefer to be a coach a friend or a motivational uh guy that is sharing the right with people that’s there’s a lot of motivation needed I think with 2,000 plus ascendant there’s a lot of motivation needed if not
Screaming to go you well Franchesco consider that we used to do this big loop with 100% assistant of a van uh so uh we we we we can take time for for breaks uh for example on the finest is very common to to have some Panini some
Some pizza uh just some water because the loop is not finished it but when we used to come get back we get back to to soua my post R beer is is what we what we need both the guide not only my guest also the guide yeah in fact I remember
When we did the dry run also you were mentioning I think it’s also worth uh telling how you know uh you know biking friendly are the the roads you mentioned that that there’s a there’s a sort of a culture in and around sort of the area where people are very aware of bicycles
So it’s very very safe it’s even recommended just because people are very aware of them well uh to to be honest uh yes it’s it’s it’s changing and we know that our neighbors in in France theyve got a a big culture on in cycling so uh drivers are respecting uh every
Single cyclist that they can meet in the road however uh people that is coming to to cycle in in Pon uh are feeling safe um especially we got narrow roads we very few traffic uh it’s it’s very common to to plan on on secondary roads that’s what
We do have no sense to making if you take a map if you take point A to point B uh maybe will be faster but will be not safe or not enjoying at all so that’s what guys do try to find and discover the Less Traveled roads and the
Best the best thing to to say is that people is discovering Pon for the very first time not not only for food or wine it is too easy I’m talking about serious cycling in this very moment that that people after there are true truly experienced they used to come back
That’s that’s a big gift for for a guy just like me or for Gabrielle I I’m pretty sure that he could say the same thing that people that is coming for the very first time will be surprised but but by our region and they used to to
Come back and and stay in touch that that’s that’s amazing that’s the part of my job that I really like like the most yeah can it’s absolutely visible I mean the passion and sort of the the love that you have for for what you do and
And more over for for the places that you get to see because that the thing that I think we’re going to see from the the video that uh shortly we’re going to launch that the all made sense because you not just climbing in the middle of
Of a city or you climbing some of the most beautiful landscape known to men so really is absolutely incredible remarkable sort of while sort of of course you are you’re putting your effort in it but just really being able to see around what this extraordinary nature and and also the connection that
You make uh by simply in the quiet sort of this Mount sort of climbing slowly and going up up the hill so that’s that’s really remarkable well Ju Just to to add something it’s it’s very nice because we used to share all the day with uh with
Cycling Gest so from the very first time uh of of the day so from from breakfast then trying to you know people people use used to travel to Pon also renting bicycle we we can provide uh good quality road bicycle there’s a lot of uh Agri tourism or bike Hotel I’m based
In a bike Hotel so we can provide a lot of services for cycling so you have just to to come and travel light um in Pont is very easy to find a a good road bicycle for rental um a good mechanic guides are also mechanics uh a good bike
Shop you if you want to travel light so just your pying kids and maybe helmet that’s all sounds great so so now that we’re talking about sort of like the the how how actually can happen I want to add uh I want to ask you a question I
Mean like what is the typical sort of biking Day when people come to you how many hours I’m expected to ride how do you usually break it down and uh just walk me through like a typical day if I come to you how do how does it work from
The morning to till the end of the day well Francesco first of all uh I I’d like to customize everything so uh I have no sense to uh to push a beginner on the have sense to to bring a family on the path uh around the city or um in the
River pole uh path so first of all we have to customize the first Contact is is is it’s very important also to to find the cycling expectation of of people so uh when I mention the col or is on is on every Cy every competitive CES bucket list so
It’s very important to to understand what they are uh looking for then we can set said to to stay different days in Pon so the good combination is five days so you can do something flat or something hel and then some more competitive and today is very easy so a very important
Uh breakfast that you can put some energy in for the day then will be at about from three to five hours in the saddle that you mean uh uh suffering on the finer but also uh having a break at every single H Cafe in Torino or having
A gelato or why not a light lunch in a typical Tratoria uh so you know it’s very important to customize yeah because it’s still a vacation at the end this is it’s not a torture chamber so no no definitely not should be a good combination that uh if if people used to
Ride for example in the morning so from 9 to 2 p.m. then they got the afternoon to relax in a pool for example in a hotel or in a gismo and then the evening to discover uh by car for example The Hills uh around Torino the wi Ro
Why not or the museums going for shopping got and then that’s it that’s it perfect okay so it seems like if I understand correctly that’s basically you can pretty much adapt to any uh type of cyclist of course there’s so plenty and that’s what we so we were getting before of places
They allow you to do busy much play with it you want to go super tough you can do it you going to go very Leisure you can do it and also with an ey always is to try to make a connection and just stop as many times somebody needs to and
Enjoy whatever you know the city or the village or the landscape they offer you so it’s sounds like lovely I I love love so franisco I wait for you it’s a promise it’s a promise of course of course I will come in me and Veronia we
Go bike riding with you that’s decid and Gabrielle is gonna follow us that’s what he does will be my pleasure to be your guide around the the most beautiful Cafe here in Torino absolutely have a cappuccino also in the afternoon H even if the rules will say that every Italian
Should have cappuccino not later than 1030 in the morning but we can have Capo in the afternoon want absolutely we’ll do it okay perfect so let’s take a look at the video I I’m sorry yes Veronica you were saying I said in the historical Cafe of the city center so of course
It’s a mandatory stop of course so I believe you have we have a beautiful video the the sort of shows some some of the places that eventually we can go to so let’s take a look at That Oh Oh Oh Wow so this is this is the it shows some of the places in the loop that you were showing before am I right yes Francesco uh you saw uh the final part uh of the col finest that is the road that was mentioning before so 8 kilometers on the gravel so it’s the
White snake that is crossing the Green Mountain that is putting in connection bisone toza so so that was the last portion of the loop no considering the loop it was the last the last part of yeah and uh the video that we saw uh is
About a grand Fondo so is a big event for amateurs so we can take a little bit more relaxing Pace yeah cuz the guy we going up here was very fast I can’t go that on the flat no no no that’s that’s an incredible event that it’s also nice
To to take part of it so more than 2,000 cyclist uh in summer used to compete there because it’s it’s a sort of competition so it’s also a service that we can provide so join the uh the grand Fondo in Pont so this year everything is postponed so maybe next year next year
Of course will be a good opportunity and no one last question I have actually know I have a few more questions but one that I think we in touch yet is the fact that of course this is all about you know the road bike sort of option but
Also I remember during the dry L we touched upon you can also assist people going Offroad and doing dirt bike and all that is that am I am I correct yes Francesco uh I was talking about Road cycling um because probably is is is booming also also in Pon but uh on the
On the Olympic venues of Torino so cester and all the chain Alps of Pont is also possible to do mountain biking uh both for cross country so on up and down or um downhill section so for example uh in Bonia there’s a bik park so young
Guys that want to to do something more exciting so Des sending in summertime they can do it and the Resort is open so uh it’s also an opportunity if road bicycle is not for everybody and also now that the gravel bikes are are booming are booming as well uh we can
Find something something interesting maybe in the area around Torino not not in the Alps uh but well to be honest there’s one um road that I want to mention that is the call the lasa road that has have been listed between the the the best uh um gra roads around
The world so the theeta the call the lasa road that you can both cycle with mountain bike or gravel uh bikes so very L wow so uh thank you D Gabrielle I actually have a questions I forgot to ask you because I don’t know maybe I was
Distracted but I remember the dry round was also mentioned Fran has one of been sort of one of those great sort of historically sort of meaningful sort of path through I don’t know if you were able to touch upon it but if you don’t mind expanding on it what it is where it
Goes through why is you know it’s it would be a nice option in terms of doing a nice hiking in the Pont and the V Fran okay okay the the welln Italian part of the V franchis start from the grand San Bernardo in the AA Valley but in pedmont
We we we have two uh possibility also because V Fran is the uh the door for from France or to France uh so we can start our our via Fran from um from mono pass or mevo pass uh they are in France and then we can go down uh
In four days we can arrive in touring and is is a easy path um full of nature landscape uh in the the video before we we saw uh the first part of the first day from mono to uls that pass in the saner Bas Gorge and um under the bridge the Tibetan bridge
That we we see also in the video and so that was portion that was actually portion of part of the Via Fran path that that video yeah yeah that one is the first day the first day very cool and so in terms of accommodations since you’re
Talking about days what I what what what what the guest should expect to find when you know when uh soort of you arrang the the tour for them what type of accommodation are we talking about okay we we can find it depends from uh from from the customer what they want
There are um Pilgrim Pilgrim structures so there are um we can find some church uh if we want to do an authentic Pilgrim experience or we can also choose hotel or Agri tourism or B&B bed and breakfast we prefer different accommodation so we there is the possibility to do
Everything gotcha so basically you can conf you can really create uh and sort of a custom made similar what D was saying before for the biking also for the the okay the groups usually how big are they because we saw in the picture there were about what like 20 people
Maybe I count to 15 20 people how big are usually the group when uh when you do this little walk we prefer uh little groups we start with eight people eight people so maximum uh with 15 people 15 people okay fair enough okay so um uh
Before we move forward I don’t know if maybe Veronica got bored or probably she had some technical difficulty she abandon us but no worry we still here so I have I believe if uh salvor send me the the image so everybody can see it just to make sure that everybody’s
Following oh Echo welcome back Veronica um uh so we we want to see if you’re following what we are saying if you somehow doed off we want to make sure they’re still with us so I have a quick poll let’s see if people are are still
With us and and know what we’re talking about so take a look at this picture 5 4 3 2 one and now see the the question so there’s a quick question what is the for is that a red wine from the hills outside toine so right outside where you
See this beautiful picture is see the biggest Alpine fortification in Europe or is a type of wool spun in ba so let’s see if you are following us then I’m going to give you a few seconds and see uh if you’re it looks like everybody’s getting it right 50% of you have voted
So I have I give you a few more seconds W it’s really quite remarkable I have to say Veronica that that I did not expect to see what I’m seeing right now I’m not going to say what it is but it’s this for refence trail is quite incredible so
We have a couple of people left so I’m going to give you five four three two one and I’m closing the poll right now so almost all of you have voted boom so I’m going to show the results here we go as you can see 92% I believe got it
Right so the biggest Alpine fortification 8% probably it’s more wishful thinking I think it was a red wine because that’s probably what they’re dreaming about right now in terms of enjoying themselves so yeah so it really is remarkable and then we saw thanks to David that you can actually even visit
It by you know bike but it’s uh it’s incredible so can we spend couple of more words about that specific Fortress you is the Fortress a museum or what actually is if I get there what what what what is it can I visit it Veronica I don’t know if you can your
Microphone works I can’t hear you can try to talk no Gabriella can you answer that question for me probably Veronica is the best person to to explain that but yeah let’s see if she can get the microphone up try to talk Veronica ch no no no we can’t hear you we can’t hear
You you can’t hear you you can’t hear me perfect okay so I don’t know if the Gabriel DAV can take this one and give us a sense I was asking in for the The Fortress itself is it a museum is an exhibition Hall what exactly is once I
Actually get there let’s say I survived the climb and I can actually go there what what what do I expect to see what it is can any any of you tell me what what the for is Gabrielle DAV no okay perfect so it’s a beautiful place gab Gabrielle you want to
Answer but I it’s it’s it’s at a museum an exhibition of course there are uh 4,000 um I don’t I don’t 4,000 scalini yes steps you can do you can do that to to visit the the fort uh you can of course visit with the touristic guide that that
Are more expert in historic and culture information and they can explain of course all the history of the of the of this for and also he said it’s an exhibition Hall so it does have it doesn’t have shows oh Veronica I heard your s your voice for a second no that’s
It so he has has exhibition so do do you know if they have anything right now that’s somewhat meaningful but only had nose but she does she cannot say whatever let’s let’s aband on there because it seems like uh what I’m gonna do right now I’m gonna go through some
Of the questions that uh that the attendees might have asked you so I’m gonna ask it right to you so let me let me get to it before I do that I want to ask to the both of you I know it’s always difficult but if you have to
Encourage people to to come and visit for the first time what would be the best season to do either one of your tour starting with Gabrielle and then we go to David Gabrielle what is the best time to do some of those path you think
Uh in terms of the first time or know it’s always beautiful when is the best time to do it it’s not it’s it’s not easy to to to answer but I think that the spring and the Autumn are the beautiful beautiful season but also the winter because you
Can use the snow shoes to walk um and also also the summer because you can reach the Peaks and you can do that in in the in the winter so every season has different possibilities the spring of course is a good season you can do uh you can walk
In the T Hill and you can walk of course in the in the mountains but you can you can’t go so high because there is a there is no until April it depends from the from the winter season also so you can wait the summer to go to for
Example to the RO Mone Peak gotcha so you say summer got Gabrielle and sorry same question for you David when is the best time to ride um the bike well we can say that the cycling season in Pon used to begin in late March and goes
Through summer and uh and fall uh I mean um spring spring and fall is is very nice for local rides I mean hills around Torino on on the contrary in summer I mean August and July is more suggested to ride in the alss what we saw before
In call Fin and um and call Li for example also also May no I think I think she has a horrible delay go go ahead this is go ahead also in May is a great season to cycle because in may we we have Italia so it’s it’s also nice to attend some
Stages uh this year the Jiro has been postponed to October so we have the jro in late October in in Pont so we’ll be a little bit challenging to to ride the Alps in uh late October but we will see maybe we’ll see the professional under some
Snowflakes that will be amazing for them not for us but but so basically so like you were saying spring and summer of course it goes without saying the heat is not oppressive because you know we’re talking about elevation so the the cool air sort of made up for the for the
Direct sun my suggestion is to escape the heat on the mountains in July and uh and August it’s perfect but also the wine Harvest the uh in October is vable to cycling through the cycling on on on the winery on wine roads maybe uh from nove late November to February is too
Much this is not myor I want to be honest with you course I got it so uh Gabrielle I have a questions that I thought it was interesting what is the minimal age you know for to do those those hikes I mean how how big are have to be the
Kids in order to be able to drag them with you and be able to sustain the the hiking I know uh kids that do the Roa Melone at eight years wow so it depends from it depends from from the the kids how they useful and um if they are useful to walk and
Going to the mountains uh but I think that probably uh to probably 12 13 14 years old is a is is a good age got it uh and for David I have the a question that wanted to specific when you talk about the four to five hour riding day does that the four
To five hours include the stop or it’s four five hours of writing and then you add on top of that the time for for stops well it depends uh on the rout um normally we we spend five hours uh also with the brakes so also a light lunch I
Mean a light lunch will be 45 minutes or just a plate of pasta we don’t have a proper pet mon menu so sure in this you can’t complete the ride so you have to jump into the van and it’s too much but yes five five five hours is a
Reasonable um daytime for a cycling experience both on easy path or uh something more uh demanding I mean very good so I think we uh we just get to the conclusion of the of the presentation because you know we uh we have we cover a lot of grounds so once again to all
The attendees as you can see uh both the contact information David and gab and Gabrielle are going to be available as well as of course Veronica uh you know you will be able to ask them directly questions and hopefully sort of get in touch with them for any further
Information so of course I want to thank now Veronica Gabrielle DAV thank you very much this conclude our webinar to all the attendees you will be receiving a survey email let us know what you think of this presentation and once again if you want more information
