On September 23rd 2023 I ran my first Trail Race – The Seven Sisters Skyline 30km Challenge.
The race takes place on the so called “Seven Sisters” which form a chain of 7 peaks in the larger Derryveagh Mountain Range in Co Donegal, Ireland. With 2,100m of overall elevation gain, the race begins with an ascent of Muckish, the second highest in the range at 666m. The range then continues on to Crocknalaragagh, Aghla Beg, Ardloughnabrackbaddy, Aghla More, Mackoght and then finishing after the highest mountain peak in Donegal, Errigal, at 751m.
