Morning Prayer following the Order at page 5 of the Methodist Worship Book, and the cycle of prayer in the Methodist Prayer Handbook, 2023-24 ‘Hidden Treasures’.

Good morning friends as We Gather this Tuesday the 6th of February to pray together and we are here at Wesley’s Chapel in lisian Mission as ever we have folk on the phone um and we have some folk in the room and all of us at home so friends however you come today know

That you are welcome and we start at page five in the Methodist worship book we will be singing number 251 Jesus Christ is waiting and using the uh prayer intentions as set for this day in the Methodist prayer handbook so we come to pray but not quite

Yet oh Lord open our lips and we shall Praise Your Name there is one one body and one Spirit just as there is one hope held out in God’s call to you glory to the father and to the son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now

And shall be forever amen we sing at number 251 in singing the faith Jesus Christ is waiting Jesus Christ is waiting waiting in the streets no one is his neighor all alone he is list Lord Jesus I am lonely too make me friend or stranger F to wait on you Jesus Christ is Raging Raging in the streets where Injustice spos and real hope Retreats listen Lord Jesus I am angry

Too in the Kingdom’s Calles let me rage with you Jesus Christ is healing healing in the streets curing those who suffer touching those he greets listen Lord Jesus I have pity to let my care be active healing just like you Jesus Christ is dancing dancing in the streets where each sign of

And you child shall be called the prophet of the most high for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way to give his people knowledge of Salvation by the Forgiveness of their sins in the tender compassion of our God the dawn from Heaven shall break upon us

To shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death and to guide our feet into the way of Peace glory to the father and to the son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and shall be forever

Amen let us offer our prayer with all God’s people through Jesus Christ Our Lord who ever lives to pray for us we pray for the needs of the world this day praying for all who are engaged in the work work of Elections and of government as we have been asked we

Continue to pray for the renewed pow sharing government in Northern Ireland we pray for all involved in the work of diplomacy remembering all who live in lands that are preparing for elections or where elections have been delayed or where elections have happened Lord in your mercy here our
