On the auspicious first day of Chinese New Year, I embarked on an early morning cycling adventure up Mount Faber, the lofty pinnacle reigning over southern Singapore. The ascent promised both challenge and exhilaration.

The Climb:
Gradient: The path wound upward with an average incline of approximately 7%.
Toughest Stretch: At its steepest, the gradient reached a formidable 13%—a true test of mettle.
Bike Comparison:

My experience using my M6R previously:
My trusty M6R faithfully carried me up the slopes.
Yet, its limited gear options left me yearning for more.
With only two gears at my disposal, I found myself craving additional flexibility.

My experience today:
While not a speed demon, it granted me newfound ease in conquering the ascent.
Picture this: I even managed to overtake a road bike rider at the peak (though they were likely taking it easy).

The 12-speed setup isn’t universally suited for all riders.
If your terrain leans toward the flat side, perhaps the extra investment isn’t warranted.
But for those of us who dream of the ultimate foldable bike experience, this could be the one—the pinnacle of pedal-powered joy!
