My partner and I are currently spending 2 months cycle touring around North Thailand before making our way into Laos. The problem is we can’t find much information on what a good route is through Laos and into North Vietnam. We would love people’s suggestions on what is good to see and any must-do route choices through this region. Do we cut straight across or is there something worth detouring for? We are carrying a tent set up so can be a bit off the beaten path …
We also want to have some downtime to work on our bikes and get some admin done, does anyone have any experience with good (and cheap) accomodation in Laos?
