So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village and civil parish of Hatherop which is located in the county of Gloucestershire, England. Hatherop is approximately 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of Fairford, 30 miles south-east of Gloucester. Cirencester is the postal town for Hatherop. The River Coln runs along the western side of the village. Close by is the village of Coln St. Aldwyns which we visted a couple of months ago https://youtu.be/3RqclKshLmU https://youtu.be/g3-Ft9LRi4c

The parish church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It was listed on the 26th Nov 1958 as a Grade II listed building. It dates back to 1578 (approximately)

This is the first time using the newly released DJI Pocket 3 camera, which features 10 bit colour & a 1″ sensor, the power of these features enabled filming to take place about 20 – 25 mins before sunrise, a feat which would of been difficult to pull off with the previous camera – the DJI Pocket 2. As the majority of the content on this channel is filmed early in the morning this new camera is already proving to be highly useful. The sunrise is seen as we head back from taking a look at St. Nicholas’s church, which is quite a wonderful & spectacular sight!

Thanks for walking with me.

  1. Nice opening in the field. Idyllic location. Good focus on the gardens along the way and Autumn colors in the trees. Narrow ivy and stonewall walkway shot was lovely as was the lead up to the church with the beautiful sunrise closing. Thoughtfully filmed, again. 🙌🏻

  2. Very peaceful walk. Quite a long walk to the Church. Big sports field. Nice to see the Dragon 🐉 on a leash. The Hobbit will be pleased.
Greetings from Canada,as always.your YouTube friend.
God bless you for your videos.

  3. Hatherop is a very beautiful village, quite imposing.
Imposing because its houses are large and a bit majestic.
Many are old and this gives a very beautiful image of this village.
The church, also imposing and very beautiful, seems very difficult to access.
There may be a wider path, but I haven't seen it!!.
Parishioners must like walking to get there.
A very very beautiful gutter hangs well on one side of the church.
An interesting and beautiful walk with the day breaking.
    Thank you Friend OAAW

    😀😀😀😀😀

  4. This is amongst my favorite walks yet- not only because of the scenery, but because daybreak is my favorite time of day! It reminded me of times I shared with my late, beloved grandmother, who also loved to be “out and about” at dawn.
Quick question: You mentioned the river Colne in your descriptions. My dad- as a young GI in WWII- was in England, and spent some time at the Earls Colne air base. Are you located anywhere near Earls Colne? I realize that rivers often stretch great distances, but the name of the river caught my attention, so I thought I would inquire.
Thanks for another nice video. It shall be rewatched, I’m sure.

  5. I'm guessing those were cabbages under the frost inhibitor green tenting. First time seeing a full-grown "flat tree" (trimmed flat) scaling a home wall, intriguing touch that. Hey wow, finally a church with ormr (dragons). May I ask, of all the churches we've visited is there a particular pattern to a compass direction they face? This one faces west. Aye, I do so love the crackle and earthy incense of autumn burn piles and fireplaces, don't you? You and me, definitely British, starting work as soon as stepping away from night's sleep. Hatherop is very very interesting and appears like a village of very busy, active folk. Me liken!

  6. Với tôi đây là thiên đường trong cõi mộng mà tôi khao khát được sống đắm mình với nó trọn đời. Tôi yêu thiên nhiên cỏ cây hoa là ❤❤
