Be tons of people here to watch us and we can go out there and give him a good show the one thing I have to say about the American team Sam is that you get injuries but you always seem to come together and fight as a team is that the
Essence of success well I just think it’s the hungriness of winning races I mean we’re all Racers everybody that’s and and the British League are are performing in front of the on the test series all one to Wi races and uh you know the team manager jobs fairly pretty
Easy because we all want to win I mean tonight you’re riding on a track that obviously you won last year when you won the northern Riders you won’t be able to defend that this year because of the division one Championship on a personal note do you want to end the season as
The division one Riders Champion will that put everything together for you for this year well I think every time I approach any event whether it’s a championship or just a league race or something I try to do my best in it and uh if I can perform on the day and and
Be the best Rider on the day then I’ll take it home with me talked to an awful lot of people Sam since you won that world championship and this is not patronized and they’ve all said that they’re happy that you’ve won because you’ll be a good Ambassador for the
Sport of Speedway but a lot of work has to be done this winter to put it back on tracks hasn’t it well this is it uh I’ve not actually had the pleasure of being involved with any of the planning for next year because I’ve been you know
Right down into racing here and stuff but uh uh you hear you read so many things in the comments but that’s people trying to sell magazines and stuff and uh you know who knows what the end of the story is going to be when it comes
To started next year but only thing I can hope for is that the British League actually gets the fixture list fixed up a little bit early so all the international Riders can actually get things worked out sooner than you know leaving it to the last minute all

Course ring in France as well there’s written a lot of meeting this season all over the all over Europe Joe broke a number of track records earlier on this season John Cook Simon cross billy Hamel and Joe Green we go and a great start from Joe screen Battle at the back between cross and Cook just cook and Billy Hammer right on the back wheel here of England number Three h the Americans are really fired up tonight to up in the series superb race here come the screen we see hold him out Joe came out of that corner pretty well of course he was a I said a Sheffield supporter in his early days so
He’d be doubly Keen to really do well tonight and uh terrific win Now by Joe screen that was a good face and crossy got third spot so Joe be feeling pretty good made a good gate and uh see jum for his trouble that was a good race up HL was
Right on Joe’s back wheel there but Joe kept cool and held off go three then for England right to 62.1 seconds to win stand so England get a few points back 4-2 and seven points to five to the United States and they line up for Heat number
Three Andy Smith in red Paul Thorp in blue sha ran in White Josh lson Danel back and uh they sh man all the memories must be coming floody back to him and there are rumors circulating that maybe uh might fanc A stin in the second division with Sheffield perhaps next season who knows shy sort of at the peak and Twilight of his career but still a big favor here around in and Josh Lawson we saw her well heroed in the will team Cup final at centry he was under a lot of pressure
And produced Five Points from two outings there hope be running well forer essic as he did last Sunday in the cup semi-final win over Belia sh of course for the CL start by lson and uh Smith is struggling there so it’s Lson and uh going M FR really hard there is coming under pressure now from Smith at the Back this SM been Ro on by the crow it looks to be a bit out of the hunt there so Josh Larson as I said earlier on very underated all thought sha holding out to Andy Smith last Corner close for last place Andy Smith very disappointingly comes in four spot
Sean held him out reason be come to be there and Josh lson electrifying Gate he gets the honor of taking the flag Ground Joshua is becoming a a real world class competitive really America also a strong lineup now they haven’t got that many young riders coming through but he certainly wanted them though right so the United States moving to a four-point lead seven points to 11 and uh place the absent Mar Lauren
Simon cross getting another ride and certainly didn’t certainly uh disgrace himself in his first ounting he’s got tough opposition he’s got Bobby OT second place in his first ride and Sam moleno who’s just gone to the tapes and joining Sim cross is England’s only winner so far Joe screen and Joe’s
Got a really hit hot form here quite capable of meating minko short gave me a hell of a lot of satisfaction if you can do it particularly here at Sheffield of course B not far from Here right so the England Riders it Gates 2 and four hope you enjoying the video at home fast and furious so far it’s already in these early stages America showing their really mean business going all out 3n white wash up to still ready not happy about Something so it’s Bob up from the inside Simon cross sinko Joe so Joe Knows Joe and Simon know they really got to make a start here out gate Bo F out of the start Bob joining him so England fairing struggling Hereit England of course really on the Salvage a bit of pred here tonight both struggling here F scams now relegated to Fourth Spot now’s got some mechanical problem it’s vir given up the ghost easy win foro I can’t see anybody touching the world champion it’s been so near to winning the World Championship in past seasons and now he’s finally done it he’s always impressed me very good Ambassador for Speedway I think he’s forgotten the
Flag Heno another Victory right so 61.9 seconds of winers time so the score after four Heats is looking pretty ominous for England it’s eight points to Amer to England and 16 to the United States so 85 Aly Smith and Paul Thor coming out for England and John Cook and Billy haml the haml in yellow and Black so America really in hot form here so Far as a poor th done well for England really over the years and uh be looking to make the most of this Opportunity Smith fourth place in his first outing foxy looking to improve on that Sur Need to get some points back right so from right from left to right got Smith HL and John That’s much better there by Smith much more like it Bringin in third spot Smith going well there John took out the back battle here for second spot Paul thp certainly in with a Shout England could just possibly get a a 51 back here and be back in business I’m dismiss much better For so the order unchange Then third spot both thoughts that’s a bit better for England couple of points back and NY Smith showing that he’s in Better form tonight need couple more heat winds like that Smith British champion of Course right so 61.6 seconds the winner time so it’s uh let’s just have a check on the score 12 point to 18 so we have Gary havock and Shaw Wilson Shaw Wilson and Josh lson Josh with the win in his first outing so England looking to this Partnership have a lock on Sean Wilson down there Gary can reproduce some of his world class form and it could be back in business Tront just been graded so there’ll be a little bit of a delay before the Riders get underway with the next Len Taylor of course down on the track made a come back for Sheffield at the age of 40 and his riding has been absolutely brilliant in the second Division BRS L at Wilson sh round and Gary have Jo R sker the AC this and had a pretty fa season took a couple of knocks in the recent League match against po help very and last better by England so have lock from Wilson and this is what England are got
To do they got to really take this match to the Americans Josh Lawson is in a threatening position there such a good race throughout this so Sheffield and lson right behind the Englishman this is great Speedway this this one England just keeping him out lson right in Hunt
There good team riding here team riding at its best now what’s Lon going to do they’re going to try and go around the outside of both of them very much in the hunt so last corner havlock and Wilson there’s really good stuff in this one I another much between any of them
There that’s a good race race that was a fabulous heat takes Union Jack that’s good Speedway that team riding which some have said is uh you don’t see much of it these days a cranking Race So sh run it disappointingly in four spot that’s a bit more like it for England so
That pulls a score up to 17 points to England 19 to United States 62.9 seconds hit number seven Andy Smith in red Paul Thorp is in t Paul Thorp is in blue s maleno is in White and Bobby ‘s in yellow back so the Americans here have a chance to extend the
Lead we shall see right bot two second Places no problem all him so Far thought Andy Smith Brother Paul helping him out there so and the of course riding at the Speedways in between changing office Young young baby in his family now not getting too many Sleepless at nights I understand inated went in the last out but really I can’t see anybody getting
Near the wheel champing malono is really outstanding tonight So England have England have called themselves back a long way to go this fixure very enjoyable and with screen Wilson and havock all and Smith all getting wins helping the England cour interesting to see how all the fairings work out later on And uh well that’s it interesting bobot temporarily at the back and minko expected his leading battle for these faing probably up 30 using the little elbows there and EM Eno over his shoulder got Smith winding hard certainly second SP good race is because Phils coming back into
It and Smith’s not that far away from emeno 4 great F SC this for last Place maleno just extending his lead to last Corner another good uh another good race that and whilst we not had real classic racing as yet it’s certainly very enjoyable and that was a hectic last corner there or last corner on the first lap between Thorp bobot bobot showing what he was made of
There so so s minko another lap of honor I’m sure he won’t tired of this there we go right so 61.6 seconds so 4-2 there for the United States is coming out USA 19 points to 23 and we have Gary lock and Sh wison not out as Yet John Cook and Billy H in White sh wison and there’s Gary H well this pairing worked out pretty well last time and a 5-1 for England could put them on level terms the match is certainly not Beyond the Lines although America have such an ins an inspirational Skipper in emeno they haven’t perhaps got quite the strength in
Depth England would have had if M La had managed to make it Right so C Wilson haml and Gary H tricky tricky race to forecast this really because all the Riders all there thereabouts in the various races so Far we go four points in it a great first quarter there by havock back to at the back there Sean Wilson try and get p c and Wilson looks like he might it with a h in last place so cook going around the outside and again the action here at
Sheffield getting Fast and Furious so good team run look at this all four Riders all close together here and this Wilson havlock partnership is looking good for England so last Corner still very very tight indeed another John Cook Billy haml now feels it’s possible to split this Pairing and all fall they nearly finished in a line marvelous stuff that was again a superity te- ring by the England team and they had the Americans breathing down the neck so G have a look FES the Union Jack so England on level terms don’t go un jaot going have you pretty pleased so far 27 Points each you just said you feel like uh the England team Aller Taylor why well whatever we seem to do seems to go wrong three Lads out IND all got bike
Problems BR rocking arms two of them and one thing or another you know we just never seem to get a run where everything goes right but that’s Speedway so but the L are doing well I mean Mar Lam’s not turned up yet so you’re running with a seven-man team you’ve had injuries so
I mean in a way you must be pleased that they are pulling together they’re pulling together but then you got to be fair in America and say I’m is are missing from American team you know they haven’t got a full team we’ve not got a
Full team so it’s all on the night who’s out there and obviously 270 like you said we’re doing all right we could do better we can’t start when we start we’ll do better still but the Ring’s been excellent Gary England are back in with a shout yeah the all these test
Matches we seem to give all the points early on and then come with a late run so hopefully we manage to be level at the interval now we can turn it on and uh hopefully try and win this one and we’re just coming over to the
American side now they just had a team talk the interval Sean get your breath back 27 points each three times tonight well USA could win three in a row still a long way to go what do you think well yeah I mean it is a good I think people are getting their

Stage and no doubt at all that tonight could get a very even contest run change and take the yellow flag made a good gate but uh just lost ground but I think he’ll set up a second spot here and that’s it the checker flag checker flag goes down and so the points they’re
Divided as we uh approach the interval shortly Josh Larson S6 supporters be pleased with his contribution eight number 10 and uh let’s you get the scores right incidentally 27 points each not 26 all 27 All problems here for uh Wilson got his backe started for England G havock and Sean Wilson show their toughest test now s maleno and Bobby On so England are pull it back the match is uh coming very enjoyable getting here Aneno and Wilson trying to be the spoiler there got have ack and startop Wilson tearing after ameno short live Joy I think well it’s the First time we’ seen emeno passed by an opposition uniter of course CH wison got a lot of R here got hard loock out the
Back Wilson’s still in with his sh here St gu havlock surprisingly at the back is been well spr England Soo in front like guy is going to have to settle for Four disappointed with that well just for a minute or two we nearly had a classic on hands there Wilson sweat past maleno but s maleno really seemed to have well just moved up another gear and ended up with a good victory that was a spectacular bit of around even Wilson and
Uh he lik to certainly mix among some on occasions a 4-2 there for the USA right so the win is time 61 seconds the fastest time of the night and that’s edged America just a couple of points in front so 2931 hit number 11 Simon cross out with
His fourth ride and Joe scen out in the blue hel he screen he’ll be in gate number Three right so uh another difficult race to forecast we know Joe Green can hit a bit of form here he can see off H will look C quite comfortably Wa it’s been a long long time since we’ve had a test match here at Sheffield and on that occasion Neil Collins and Kenny Carter wed in the last Heat late keny counter nearly 11 years ago that’s a good start by the England Riders great start B by Joe’s
Screen he’s got H breathing now his neet can he hold him Out so haml takes the lead then probably just surpris you a little bit there they’ve now got to now consolidate their 33 Position and John Cook no mug himself so crossing the screen running very sensitively here take the yellow plag we’ve seen a lot of really good team riding this is another casing point the H some way in front John Cook desperately drowning it past Here and he’s just as out of it pool Rider by a couple hours Joe Green sross keeping out so Jo green made a good start a good gate but bil hore got the better of him on the second lap so 33 so USA might be a bit more pleased about that than England Really 34 points to 32 just confirmed by dougy Adams there and uh Heat number 12 Andy Smith in red Paul thp in Blue shaan in White and Josh lson in yellow Black can sha get his first win of the night just wonder whether we might see him rile Sheffield here next P th shipped in with a few points Tonight all in the blue Helmet Right just two points in Itth There run of course was an American license they given special Dispensation start there by England round by P for fills himself into second spot Josh lson at the back lson has been going particularly well stage like this is put England ahead for the first time in the Match and again we getting another example of excellent te riding just got a feeling though that Lon is going to go right through the heart of the defense here yellow flag so lson must but is challenging now it’s very difficult though right on the back wheel of fourth can he do It again a good team effort there Eric bu calling for be pleased with that so England my mathematics are correct they get in front and uh feel England rers getting a bit between Smith into the front by two points terrific ride good yeah I’m made a good start and then after the first look uh first lap I looked and Paul was there so I moved out a bit we got a 5-1 England’s pred on the line tonight first time
We’re in front as I say after well still a lot of Heats to go but racing like that we can do it yeah the racing tonight is really close and good should have more races like this at tracks like this great team riding from compati as well Paul thought keeping out Josh lson
Yeah me and Paul go back a long time and it’s good to be riding together Again bobot there in gate number two the last one out to the tapes There Jo on the gates number One five will finals for him this year that an exhausting Cal really problems with his bike I have a lot Ste with his machine that’s like one of Joe screens machines at desperate mechanical last minute alterations we made but screen Arts cross and emeno So looking right back on terms and strange got ahead of malono c a hunt very often and Bob goes around the inside now what’s going to happen on this corner has screen got a bit between his teeth he’s got a bit of a knock at wol Hampton and he relegated to third spot
To Brave effort by the world under 21 great Speedway this he so this put the USA two points up Joe still in the Hunt the sh the last lap oh emeno and Jo screen firing into that Corner Joe seem to be going quite a bit quicker in that one and having to come from the back having to work a bit harder I’m the first to acknowledge that was a good Race So this partnership with amalink or not little bit hot too hot tonight race
Actually you know Joe screen made a brilliant gate from that and know I mean it switched three spots and within four laps is it there Joe screen wi it one minute then Bobby was there then Sam was in there it’s just that was very good interesting rate for the crowd actually
I think and that’s why they call Bobby out the showtime as well that’s true that’s true definitely is a show man and uh definitely putting Sam and Bobby together that’s quite a show there actually and uh to beat that pair it’ be uh you had to make pretty good gate
Right a good line there I was watching the eyes and as we were going down you almost riding it with him I think I was riding it with him exactly it’s hard to stand here and watch cuz you know what it’s going on you know what it feels
Like and uh just just to sit and watch it’s quite hard to Do so Paul Thor I’m just uh setting his scores up five points from four outings it’s not a bad return that so 38 points to England 402 United States and with a bit of luck we’re going to get a really good finish t next test match and of course the test Series four for of course has hovered around the top of the averages this Year he certainly hold his own in the first Division C Smith H and coming out to this it’s a fantastic gate cook H at the back Smith challenging Really humble not be happy Al back now Smith this looks promising for England po fantastic job to keep out ham Up so fi f f Smith and Smith foxy Chasing Heart be putting his challenge in here now can he do it John Cook and Andy Smith right on his back wheel here now he’s going for it trying to get round some driver the outside very nearly a classic race
There exhausted after that race what a fabulous ride that was and well who would have thought that Billy haml would have been at the back notless he was very far behind but that was a COR race that great stuff and uh keeps the Americans two points in front. seconds in R behind the Te Right well just two points in it I’ve lock sha BR sha Wilson and Josh laon gar with the fourth place in in his last Ting disappointing sha around without the wind so Far right so we’re going to latest stages of the Meeting there we go terribly tight there that’s better for England but lon’s a spoiler Wilson have half now as things are going this is very hotly contested again have lot got to keep on it B Andel Larson putting in a strong challenge here it’s going to be a close
Finish again in this one very close inde Wilson lson and this will put England back on level terms very little in it St there by Wilson okay havlock perhaps putting in the late bit here lson right on the but wheel of sha Wilson terrific action here once again around the outside again and
Havlock wasn’t turn far away finish again another very very close finish he put a blanket over those three and a cracking R by Shaw Wilson another good race and whilst we’re not seeing all that much uh actual actual overtaking the racing is at times breathtaking to watch so at 42 it’s
England back on level Terms Right so it’s 45 points each and uh s Reno unbeaten so far Wilson and Screen have got past him for half a lap or so Sam out in he 16 scores level Bobby up there had a good Meeting in yellow Andy Smith and Paul th coming out for the Lines So Andy Smith maleno just be 18 point maximum for him FAL Right so three Heats to go so the Americans are we hoping to get four points ahead here then a 42 in the next one to wrap it up let’s hope it’s going to be a last Heat besid it a crucially important race this heat number 16 H Smith emeno and Thorp and
Well the England L just got to ruffle it up s such A and England ping the left at the start and that’s not good enough so am Leno from Bobby Arts can England split his Fairing very close between all four Riders and then Leno seems to just be dropping back just slightly and he come put a wafer between all four of them magnificent stuff really th and Smith have got to try and get something out of this one Andy Smith firing after Robie Al it
Looks like he might get it no Al just gets past him and Andy Smith and Al the all the stuff and uh two point Salvage there are not going to be so important as they come into the later stages Bobby furious with himself there but Speedway was a winner there that was another
Corking a cork of race get T TI here tonight and I can tell you that’s the sort of racing that we get at Sheffield nearly every week and the sort of stuff that will bring the crowds back to Speedway had of some of the possessions that we
Saw in some of the major events this year so 4-2 for the Americans just puts some in front here wow you got to catch your breath after though that was a classic yeah well it’s definitely been an exciting night it’s been you know really evenly evenly matched and uh I’m
I’m sure the bigger track had something to do with that a lot of the English boys have ridden here before you know for shefield for shefield and I tell you it’s been some hard racing you don’t just get in front and figure you’re going to win here you know I got passed
From behind twice and figured I had it in the bag you know so it’s really definitely some tough racing tonight a lot of Pride on the line tonight as well isn’t it well yeah sure we’d like to win all three of them but we already won the
First two so but yeah it’s definitely we definitely want to you know win this one as well but it’s going to be tough with the races we have left so the Americans know that uh a 4-2 for them will at least secure a draw a 5-1 will secure the
Match England know that nothing less than well they mustn’t uh I think it a 33 they might just scrape a victory in the last race hble Lads taking plenty of time with Shan Wilson and going have a lck a few words there England mustn’t conceed more than a 33 Hereit So vital Heat this now hugely enjoyable Match G one Three looking it positively and England uh maximum heat we give them a two heat two point Advantage we got John Cook of course out there he won his last outing and looked pretty Good so it’s havock Wilson coook and B hamble two points in It looking for that start very tight corner there down goes cook be straight up again and down goes Billy hamble will on the first so what will the referee decide there I Wonder all four Riders back in four Riders back in that was certainly hectic first SC on I think the two American Lads are going to be okay really I was going to say something hat to give there and it certainly did and Dave darling’s rule an unsatisfactory
Start so it’s 47 to England 49 to United States awful lot of injes on this race so Gary havlock John Cook Sean Wilson really they H very very sense indeed the ride is taking a lot of time to settle Down problem here lot of nerves out there as you think So tension’s got to build up Again have a lock Billy haml a really good competitive match this though A lot of noise coming from the supporters I can tell you down Belows some problem I think cook might be a being Excluded there obviously some problem here C’s been told to go by John Whitaker so hyr Arma tapes are going to have to go up clock of the course on the track C is certainly not going I may be desperate disappointed I’m not quite sure what the problem is
Whether it’s a two minute warning we’re not quite sure but what a great fish is excluded because such a terrific meeting that cook I think’s going to leave his bike on the track not happy at All look saying I think he’s going to leave his bite there he wasn’t aware of whatever the problem was two minute hoot has gone Again cook excluded I’m not I can’t really say what the reason is going think it’s a two-minute warning and he’s excluded for delaying the start the official verdict and he can hardly believe it’s still not [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] happy SE cook not happy so whether America can make it another substitution So drama and controversy here at Sheffield so it looks like America got a a reserve coming in would be Doug nickel that’s heck of a race for him to uh make his debut Tonight so puts a lot of pressure now on H remember America are two points up she Nicholls first uh ride course on sh of his current Form so plenty of drama and excitement here at ton England are got to be clinical here though havock n Wilson H very tight first Corner ham just going past sha Wilson have a lot leading H Wilson Powers underneath ham down goes by ham rushing into the fence spectacular Stuff so what will the referee decide there H’s down on the deck drama there as Wilson powered into that corner Billy down on the truck And Wilson is out Sean Wilson is out so whether he’ll be happy with That going over to have a look at being edged out of it Wilson being dragged away perh feels that Billy Ham’s making a bit more of that and what was the case so we’re now going to be left with two riders only and sha Wilson is very
Upset so I wonder what you thought on that at Home wison very unhappy Indeed so plenty of talk points here at sheffields storms into the pits an angry [Applause] man that’s Billy H kind feeling that the with his bike crashing into the fence the fall looked a lot more spectacular than what it perhaps was and emeno being for a quick chance it be
Interesting to see what’s on thinks about that incident certainly dramatic one Stuart GS down there having a chat with him you from well what what can I say I mean I don’t think cookie thought he was um out of line being up on the next to the white
Line and because he was trying to talk to the starting Marshall guy and the starting Marshall I you know I don’t those are such touchy situations whenever nobody can communicate and you’re under starting Marshall’s orders when you’re down there if you’re delaying the start so he got excluded on
That and then uh we desperately need to split them or at least draw the the Heat and uh as you see they were going for it in this last year to say you know John Cooks out Doug Nichols in it leaves Gary have lck Sean Wilson excluded so it
Looks two Riders going to post well I tell you what the last Heat’s uh it’s not over you know the last Heat there’s one more after that no matter what happens in this one I think Josh and shuy can pull it together at the end this is what England USA test match is
Really used to be all about when it fight up right to the end and what we need for spe light this is uh this is when you say used to be it’s now this is happening you know this is the way it is and I’m sure it’s always going to be
Like this all the way to the end anytime they have a tiest series that’s what make them exciting but um it’s good to be able to race on tracks that are that are neutral for both sides I mean uh Arena aexs I think it was a bit one-sided for the Americans and wolver
Hampton because of the rain and stuff it could have went either way but uh the English kind of didn’t get off to a good start and we did and we kept going we fired up then and today it’s more of a neutral track for for both teams and you
Can see how close it is I mean in the future they just we used to run five five um five tests and that used to be really exciting so I mean heck we if the weather stays good maybe we can chump bum in a couple more you know and keep
It going we right for ultimate heat Gary havock has to win this to keep England in Hunts H nichel and Billy ham Billy H sa a great start by the former world champion Billy ham can just Edge himself in front it means America can’t be Beaten oh terrific Scruff here between these two so havlock haml do nickel thir spot H nearly coming off there third lap and this will keep the line’s very much in the Hun [Applause] here stage like this we’re going to get last he deider got to have a lock
Ham ridic third so the last take Ider here at Alon crucial win there for havlock and the Riders come out for the final heat let have a check on the score it’s 50 points to England and 52 to the United States so just the final
Heat our last Heat deci side here all on the last Heat England two points down and uh screen nearly coming off and more drama of controversy this time last and fly what’s the referee decided there we’re going on here at plenty of drama going on here at Sheffield Tonight [Applause] [Applause] win Win raing hit wind SM okay here we go a great start from the screen England need time the cross not sure r a bit of a spoiler there second spot cross going around the outside h maret of everybody amazing stuff by Sha not had a win all night and he win
This for his country if he can stay first spot just L at the back England need to get ahead here and last and challenging Joe screen so sh round back to his best just when it matters Well show them around he’s W it for his country fabulous Stuff we’ve seen this a few times from at BW of course this season discusing how it’s going to be done there he is what a great ride there by uh V’s Captain the American team they’re all hung out Theed and a great finish to a match what a match it’s been [Applause] here right okay let’s now a chat with sha ran was in well heroic form last night Sean that you won the match for America in the last he um how what do you think about that well man that’s the only race I won um first to say that I I did have
A bad night last night uh I I rode both my bikes and I couldn’t get out of the gate I got passed you know but it was in my last race that I Sammy loaned me his bike and it absolutely flew now if I had something like that
I’d be quite happy but uh besides that all the boys did well uh it was a close match all together um I think it was great for the fans in particular because of the how close it was the racing was good um but well it was it was nice that that
That it was pulled off you know that was only by a couple points I think at the end yeah and it seems as though you sort of thrive on these pressure cooker races because of course you had the one here Against cradley The Knockout it was all
Down to you and last night it was all down to you the finish I mean it seems to get the best now to perhaps maybe sometimes it’s not that I enjoy it but um sometime yeah yeah I’m not the pressure doesn’t really bother me too
Bad I mean I either do it or I don’t that’s all that could happen on the night but uh I was on something that was good in my last race cuz we tried everything you know and I obviously I didn’t want to ride both my bikes because of tonight’s racing you know bit
Of work to do on the you know today but uh I couldn’t get anything to work but um as far as the pressure goes once I did a practice start on Samy’s bike I you know I I thought it was fantastic yeah yeah it’s I was quite happy yes um
Of course America won 3-0 the one of two controversial incidents notably the Shawn Wilson Billy haml Clash what did you think of that well pra it it looked pra was coming in pretty hard there was a little Gap that Bell that Billy left you know I think PR
Just had a good run in there sort of like PC used to do Peter Carr said the PC dive and uh but he seemed to take Billy a little bit out where Billy didn’t get left enough room it it was to where Billy couldn’t shut off and cut
Back he was in that position where he he could only stay right there and it was start he was starting to go out a bit too far so he had no choice but to lay it down wasn’t like a big hit or anything like that but I think I think
It was a little bit hard Sean doing that you know of course cookie got excluded not quite sure why think it was delaying the start or something that was a bit controversial I didn’t see the whole thing but I saw him up there I think the
Guys were up at the the tapes and they a couple of them turned around and they were coming back and and cookie was off his bike uh gardening you know to find a good spot um I didn’t notice any of the green lights which they have been doing
This year the referee will Flash the green light one a couple times to say for everybody to get up and then he’ll do it for the second time and I think if he does it for the third time you’ll be out if somebody’s messing about at the
Gate like but I didn’t notice any green light and uh well cookie did get excluded and uh BR well yeah but I mean it only took about 2 minutes really he came back and he was laughing you know he was bummed out about it but you know it’s just
Unfortunate thing to happen how did you enjoy running back at Sheffield again bring it back a few memories for you oh yeah it was it was great I mean I never lose track of the place um forget about how the my racing went on the night but
I I do enjoy it I think everybody does uh to me it’s uh probably about one of the best race tracks in the country it’s it was very it was smooth it was on the Slick side fair enough but uh it’s a sort of track you could go there there
And enjoy riding because it’s being fast but it’s wide you could you can make a little mistake and not worry about heading out to the fence you know it’s it’s a very safe track and fast but uh I’ve memories yeah but it’s just a lot of fun to ride
On United States so wrap up the series there by three matches to nil winning there at Sheffield by 53 points to 55 and well a highly controversial match there plenty of meat few Speedway supporters let’s run down the individual scorers for England G have lock 10 sha
Wilson scored 10 Joe screen scored eight and two bonus Andy Smith scored 12 good score for him Paul th six and two bonus Simon cross seven and a bonus of course Carl Stone didn’t have a ride the United States Sam Leno 18 points magnificent Maxim and really nobody could touch him
Bobby OT scored nine of three bonus John Cook scored three bil haml scored 10 sha R scored four Priceless points there what a win by Sha then the last Heat Josh lson scor 10 and Doug nichel came in with just one point from one right so a very controversial meeting there and

To our BNS and show you what happened at Bradford but first let’s have a look at the 16 Riders taking part tonight starting off at number one and representing wolver Hampton is The Sensational swed Peter Carlson the winner of the division two Riders Championship that’s Gary Allen snd boy
He’s at number two at three last year’s Champion it’s Joe screen and coming in to replace the injured Greg Hancock at four is Simon cross representing Bradford at five Calvin Tatum and David Norris a late replacement for Peter nalene he’s from eastor at number six one of the hot favorites tonight Lee
Adams former swinden Rider now with Arena at seven at eight Tony ricardson from ipswitch in what could be his final appearance here for at least season three times world champion Hans neelson from the centry bees is Rider Number Nine and at 10 guaranteed some local support Craig Boyce from pool
Jason Crump a late replacement comes in to replace Gary havalar who was injured just last night and at number 12 from the Reading Racers former world champion per jansson Hanka Gustafson from the kingsin baram stars is riding number 13 at 14 from the bellw aces Jason lions
Chris Louie comes in to replace Brian carer at number 15 and at 16 it’s Simon wig who is instead of Martin Dugard well a couple of interviews for you a little while ago steart Sergeant spoke to a few of the Riders and we’ll start things off
With h neelson and after that we’ll have a look at Bradford in 1992 and last year’s division one Riders Final It’s nice to win it again it’s uh new place now I mean it’s always been up in the north but I’m pleased to see it back here uh well not back here but here for the first time isn’t it and uh you know it’s a track that’s always been a good
Racing track when when there’s been a bit of dirt around and uh from what here it’s been very good this year here so yeah it’s supposedly a neutral track with it being a s and been in division 2 this year but most of the boys have got
Experience of it yeah sure uh obviously some more than others but I think everybody’s R here lots of times and uh as you say quite a quite a neutral track so should be good hopefully a few good races there lot of injuries and withdrawals from the field but they
Still managed to put put together a quality field haven’t they yes certainly I mean obviously uh with all the or most of the the the world’s best riders in the British League you’re a to even if some somebody get injured you’re able to go down to pick the next one and there
Still will CL so I think it’s it’s going to be tough out there it’s a difficult meeting you know it’s um it’s very highly rated there’s a lot of good Riders here so it’s kind of hard to say that but uh yeah I feel pretty confident
Um I’ve had a really good last month everything’s been going very good for me so um just got to keep it going tonight you know but as I say it’s it’s going to be a hard meeting I think there’ll be points dropped by everybody so um you
Maybe come down to a runoff or something like that but I think it should be good very exciting meeting the track looks fantastic so it’s looking forward to it you don’t en Visage it being won by a maximum then you think people are going to drop points along the way I think so
With this caliber Rider you know I it’s going to be very difficult but um maybe someone might prove me wrong hopefully it’s me it’s a it’s a cold night uh something to warm the fans up would be very nice do you think the track’s conducive to a lot of passing tonight
Yeah I think so I think the track’s been pretty good up here it’s been fairly smooth and um as I say tonight it looks pretty good so um I think it should be a really good meeting very exciting um um although very hard so no it should be
Fantastic do you who do you see as your main contend competitors tonight obviously 15 top opponents in there but anybody special be watching out for well I think they’re all got you got to watch out for everybody really um especially nowadays you can just pop out the start
And you know a lot of people go very fast so uh it’s kind of difficult just keep an eye on everyone Really so race win for Hans neelson would put him in with a chance of a rostom place the same goes for p jansson and indeed it’s Json who goes run the outside of neelson so the battle of the former world champions here neelson lifting but per Johson
Seems just out a little bit quicker as he shuts the door on the D the Riders seems to be picking up a little bit of unwanted Drive especially on the back straight and neon in trouble his bike seem to stop momentarily but he’s got it going again pass pet
N so maybe H’s putting on a bit of a show I don’t really know but he’s coming through on the inside pretty hard now of John yinson but he’s not going to catch per jonsson so Json once again showing a liking for the Bradford circus Of course not enough points to win the meeting itself so really it’s all about the Adams in this one had a bit of a nut there between Robert n and Sam maleno the Hungarian is quite a brave boy to do that but it’s Lee Adams who must really be cursing his bad luck
He assuming he wins this one technically speaking he should be sitting on 14 points and obviously that’s would have put him in a very nice position now so the luck not been with him or Hans neelson or Simon weak for that matter that’s often the story of a big meeting like
This I think Robert NJ will admit that luck was perhaps a little bit with him on the division 2 Riders championship tonight but take nothing away from that Ryder he is a real star in his own right but right now it’s Lee Adams the joins almost half the field on 11
Points make a runoff interesting so it’s all about this one Heat number 20 Joe Green rides in red and he is in a position to win this division one Riders championship the opposition provided by H gustafs and Brian Cara and the real Danger Man Simon wig because a win here from Wiggy would
Put him onto a total of 12 points and uh Joe he only needs to pick up one that’ll put him on to 12 points as well but obviously a second place here would guarantee victory for the young man from Bel so he starts off from Gates number one
Han Gustafson and blue he’ll be next to him off two Brian car get in white off three and the one we have to watch out for Simon week in yellow and black on the outside seat number 20 and possibly one of the most important races of Joe
Screen’s career and he’s made a blinding start so it is the screen machine in front he can afford to settle for a second place but that’s not his style the boys an out and out racer and it’s winds are nothing ready for Joe and it just goes to show the future
Of British Speedway looking very hot for was Riders like him obviously world champion Gary havock Mark lauram still on the way up and uh normally Martin Dugard have be expected to be there or thereabouts but as we say perhap just a little bit over tired at the moment
Simon we doing well to hold on there so barring something very strange happening it looks like Joe screen from the Belleview Aces over there in Manchester one of the most famous clubs in the speedway World it looks like the Glory Days Are Back at BW once again as Jo screen takes
The 1992 Dunlop division one Riders championship title as you can imagine he’s pretty pleased about all that So hopefully you enjoyed a look back at uh some of the events from 1992 but it’s bang up to date we go into 1993 and the Riders prepare for this pre meeting parade a massive crowd here at Swindon the Ace of Aces was hled earlier on
Today and the g has paid off because even now as we speak this que is stretching from the stadium all the way down almost to the M4 motorave which must be a good four maybe even five miles [Applause] [Applause] Away we can tell you there a cold old night here at Swindon but hopefully the action on the track will keep us warm as the Riders prepare for the first race of this Dunlop division one Riders Championship pet Carlson will be in red Gary Allen in blue Joel screen in white
And Simon cross in yellow and black the rid is just uh literally doing everything he can to keep warm right Now Gary Allen in his final meeting in this country he’s announced his retirement so he’ll want to go out and find Style got uh his swinden supporters behind him as well Allan of course the winner of the division two Riders championship at kingsan just a few weeks Back defending Champion Joe screen in the Stick of the action at the very start of the night of course interesting to see how he gets on on this one tonight the track is beautifully prepared but whether or not there be enough dirt on it for Joe remains to be seen Ready Interesting to note the various Riders are mechanicing for other Riders tonight Neil evit helping out Joe screen of course just a week or so ago they were on the opposite sides the screen helping B view to victory at wber Hampton so the time ticking away as we get ready for Heat number one of this Dunlop division one Riders Championship so from the inside in red it’s py Carlson Gary Allen in blue off gate number two Joe screen white off three Simon cross yellow and black on
The outside and of course the helmet covers corresponding to the gate positions all night red off one blue two white three yellow on the outside so obviously we watch for Joe screen Gary Allen it is who’s made a blinding start there goes pety Carlson and Simon cross coming around the
Outside there is the swed from wver Hampton Kitty Carlson but his world final debut picked up 10 points in that this year and really does look like a very big name for the future second place of Simon cross his last appearance in this country ever he going through there on the
Inside was Gary Allen so Allen putting his home track knowledge to the best possible use now the real shocking right away is Joe screen the defending Champion is at the back no problems for py Carlson he’s way ahead right now he’s got it from Allen and third place still Simon
Cross Carson will be happy with this a confidence boosting starts to his division one Riders Championship it’s his debut in the Event and Jo screen just coming through there for third place so three points for Carlson two for Gary Allen and one for Joe Green so uh Peter Carlson getting off to the ideal start looking very very comfortable there indeed got Peter Adams the wolver Hampton team manager with him in the pits all night as well interesting to see a fuel sample being taken there from pet Here number two Kelvin Tatum Lee Adams David Norris and Tony ricardson that’s the lineup so looking across the line then from the inside it’s Tatum Adams off to Norris 3 and ricardson on the Outside Turner ricardson won the pride of the East at kingslin recently full 15 points so he got there so if he displays that kind of form tonight then you never know but it really is Lee Adams who will be watching out for actually started his career here at swinden in division one of
Course this was Paul in division two before that and he’s made a rocket start is Lee Adams Tony ricardson comes around the outside for second place third man is Kelvin Tatum but it is the battle up front between Adams and ricardson while Adams showing some determination he is one of the preting
Favorites we know that this boy can handle the pressure took the world under 21 championship title couple of Seasons back and he won the Commonwealth final at Kings earlier on this year so it is Adams from Tony ricardson third place is Calvin Tatum David Norris at the back

Surprises in these meetings looks like we got one here no surprised to find per jansson at the front but really it should be Hans nson doing battle for second place while we knew that Jason Crump would be a real Danger Man if he got in this field Tonight it’s also going to be a good indication for the young slurp to see how he shapes up against some of the world’s top Riders and right now he’s leading H neelson but it is per jansson from the Reading Racers team who have not provided a winner for this
Competition oh jonsson certainly looks apart here in Heat number three going very fast Indeed second place for Jason Crump on the third four h neelson so well well surprises right Away so per Janson just having a word with the track photographers down there Ken Carpenter I’d like to know what that was all About Chris Louie rides and r he starts off from the inside here in the fourth race tonight Jason lions and blue off gate two Simon wig white off three and H Gustafson in yellow and black on the outside some lines just uh making sure that that tire is nice and Warm so obviously the ones to watch out for here Chris Louie and Han staff’s ingestion lines could be a bit of a SP there and with Simon wig he is capable of going out and scoring 15 points or equally of scoring no points at all so let’s see what which version of Simon

One as the tap rise it’s a fast start for Hans neelson thank gustafson’s up there as well he comes Peter Carlson I thought Carlson was going to try and get run the outside of Gustafson three times world champion in front and certainly making up for a very sluggy start by his own high Standards neelson of course a former winner of this event as well and it was staged at bellw M’s kind of lost uh a lot of its glamour since the demise of the old Hy Road Stadium but uh certainly if tonight’s crowd is anything to go by it could become one of the major
Attractions of the speedway season yet again there is neelson from Gustafson third place is pet Carlson and it looks like Lee Adams prediction uh of this meeting not being won on a maximum could be right after All nson takes he Five and three valuable points for him it puts him onto a total of four B Gustafson however is sitting on Five Points so uh still everything to go for here number six we have Jason lions in red FR boy blue Gary Allen White and David Norris yellow and Black well Gary Allen was more than impressive in his first ride see what he does here he’s uh certainly not into make up numbers tonight is he but it’s an excellent start for the rider and blue that’s Craig boy second place man is Gary Allen Jason line is just trying to force
His way past now so Craig Boyce he’s another Rider who came back from severe injury he uh was involved in the track crash at Kings in a few seasons back in the Commonwealth final injured his back it’s taking him a little while to get his confidence again
But uh he looks aart in this One so it is boys from Gary Al and Jason Lions and a comfortable cruise for Craig Boyce so three points for him second place for Gary Allen and a third for Jason Lines Jason Crum rides in raid Chris Louie and blue Lee Adams white and Joe Green in yellow and black Adams of course winner first time out Joe scen very disappointing in his first ride so he’ll be all outed to make up for that here screen of course one of the many
Riders involved in the Ace of Aces event earlier on today all very tight slee Adams being paid back into second it’s Chris Louie momentarily as Adams gets himself in front L second third place at your screen it’s not going to be his night think the defending Champion can

Over I’m not quite Sure a bit of creeping going on there KY Carlson trying to anticipate Simon week moved oh the referee is not going to allow that the exclusion light has gone on for Simon week and uh you can kiss goodbye to this particular the race so it means now that we get the

Per youngson of Course so Louie with Janson literally right on his Tail but he holds on to take Heat number 10 P Chris Louis on to seven points now 6688 seconds of the winning time very quick wi they want to go to dinner dance next Saturday evening they must with cash Preferably the rest of immediately so rock on then as the meeting begins to take some sort of shape number 11 bubling out now Tony ricardson red H neels blue Jo Green in white and J lines yellow and black but it’s a race really that Hans neelson must win to have any chance
Of getting up there on the rostom tonight well the eyes really on Neilson watch for Tony ricardson because of course he’s on Four Points so a win here we put him onto that magic seven however if starting is anything to go by and it is the main D who leads in
Second place Jo screen third is Tony re and ricardson drifting high and wide really out there into no man’s land now no problems for Hans neelson and really be interesting to know just what happened to Hans in his first ride certainly made the necessary changes So Nelson from screen and Ricardson looking at every bit a potential winner here H neelson that’s he s to take the checking flag in Heat number 11 had a celebration wheelie as well so that puts him on to seven points Now After this one all the Riders will have had three rides a piece and again we’ll check out the leaderboard what a lineup hanker Gustafson Simon cross Craig Boyce and Lee Adams well the win for Adams here we put him on to an unbeaten nine points of
Course so we’re watch for him a watch two for hanky gustaffson and it’s very tight going into the first couple of turns looks like the Aussie’s got it so is Adams with Gustaf in chasing hard these two have had some superb races at Kings Ling this year they already
Have so there goes Gustafson it’s quite unusual to see him try the inside he’s uh very much an outside Line Rider so Adams and Gustafson almost uh neck and neck here really is very close seaon he’s decided it’s the inside for for Him so Lee Adams drifting very wide he’s got to be careful because Gustafson will take full advantage of that he’s certainly going quick enough Adams and Gustafson getting the crowd going here there goes hka it looks like he’s just got the speed knife he can hold it we know that
Adams will try and spit through on the inside and Han G sta in just takes it on the line let’s have a look at that last lap Again so there’s where henker makes his Mo now he’s going very quickly indeed just seems to slip back a little bit but all of a sudden he picks up drive straight through on the inside and tries him mightly Adams just misses out at the End So we can check out the Riders individual scores Now as all of them have completed three rides of piece so Lee Adams sits on eight points the same as per jansson and hanker Gustafson py Carlson on seven and neelson on seven Chris Lou on seven and Tony ricardson five and really they are the only Riders In Contention because
The rest of them seem to be too far Back time 6736 seconds 6736 this is a very big sh a very entertaining man second yellow Le Adam and blue was s Point Chris it’s a tough meeting out there all the boys taking points off each other that’s right yeah I mean this is a sort of meeting that’s always tough
You know you got the the best guys obviously in the British League um you know many people build it sometimes as being tougher than the world final itself I’m not sure about that but uh it seems to have been a well contested meeting so far and I think it’s going to
Go right to the end obviously I think you’ve got seven so far at your first three rides you pleased with that um yeah you know obviously would have preferred to have nine really but seven is um better than six so just hope that we have a successful second half and um
Be nice to pick up another couple of wins as you say two wins now uh 13 points that in this sort of meeting could be enough to win it um yeah like I say everyone’s taken points off each other so uh it’s I don’t think it’s
Going to be one on a maximum so maybe 13 will be enough but uh obviously um seven points so far still like to get on the roster hker just showed in his last ride there’s uh still a little bit of dirt out there to uh get past if you do miss
The game um I don’t know if there’s any dirt left or not I mean he came up the inside but um I think it was just down a bit of track craft and Shar speed really but so the art of it at the moment he’s making the gates would you say um yeah
Obviously it helps I mean that’s a big part of Speedway but um yeah you can have a take hangers just proed that but um I’ve got the outside gates in my next two which I think are probably going to be favorable from now on Jason uh home
Track and uh against the big boy have to speak tonight you join yourself yeah I mean I went to the Ace of Aces today and came back for my first ride and had a phone call there and um said could I make it tonight to ride and I jumped at

Just love to be able to go out and win a race against these boys and you know I got two more races and I just hope I can do it tremendous atmosphere out there is it there nice to see such your big crowd yeah I mean when at the start of the
Season we had a couple of crowds like this but then they um died down a little bit but uh to see a crowd like this back at swind and’s Great and how about the prediction how do you see the meeting the rest of the meeting going I’d like
Say the my favorite winner and I think that’s peir and um I think it’s down to peir and Lee Adams now and uh I think I’ll put my money on peir tough meeting out there you were going well with your first two rid but he B problems what
What was the problem yeah the um the Box fell out of the no not the Box the plug fell out of the back of the box and uh she stopped you know no power no go so that was it real blow for you but you must be enjoying the chance to race
Against the big boys again after winning the division two Riders yeah well I’ve done it all before anyway so it’s not you know I’ve done it before anyway so it’s just nice to race against them but um yeah it’s just it’s it’s an enjoyable meeting it’s a very tough meeting but
Something’s got to do it so I’ll do it yeah it’s a big night to end your British career yeah yeah it’s nice yeah you know be nice to Wi the last one but uh I think the last one’s going to be a very tough one so I’ll just see what I
Can do and maybe pull out a few more points but um it’s it’s Enjoyable right is z for he number 13 the Adams in red Peron blue Jason lions and white and pet Carlson yellow and black and what a lineup this one is Lee Adams certainly has the adventure starting off from the inside Gates gate number two has uh not really been producing that many points

At all tonight he finds himself at the Back well this is going to uh do p jonsson’s title challenge no harm whatsoever Lee Adams two points he’s dropped to the opposition now But the 13th race won in fine Style by per Janson So he 14 and this brings out another one of the leaders at the moment that’s hanker Gustafson from the inside that is Gary Allen Hank Gustafson off to Tony ricardson three and Jason Crump on the outside so the two swetes are out front here’s Tony ricardson well this really could have quite some bearing on the end results because if ricardson ends up winning this one then
Really it’s almost like handing things to F Jonson to be fa jonsson so has to win his final one we watch Paul gustason third place man is Jason Crum certainly the seds have really enjoyed themselves here and swind tonight but it is if switch Rider Tony ricardson his last appearance as an nip switch Rider of course he going to watch out though as Gustafson has really gained some ground super fast machinery hka and if only
This rer could make the gates surely he really would be a world champion there he goes as he makes his move so Gustafson as clean as you like right around the outside ricardson is not finished though good Speedway so a very very important win for hker gustaffson he takes he 14 and takes three valuable points so good stuff indeed for Hka so Gustafson along with Json now having only dropped one point to the Opposition 15 Simon week Joe Green Craig Boyce and Kelvin Tatum and really none of these riders in contention for Russ play tonight so from the inside then it is Simon We Joe scen off to Craig boy 3 Calvin Tatum on the Outside so good start for Tatum and almost a collision there between PR Bo and Calvin T is Bo goes right around the outside of all of them so Bo leads it Simon wig thought that uh he was going to try the outside run there and Jo screen screen a bit disappointing
Tonight uh obviously one of the Riders who took part in the Ace of Aces earlier on today so you can understand them being very tired from that the defending Champion we thought that he would have been up there in contention for a Rost from place at least tonight so it is
Craig Boyce right now but he’s got to watch out for Joe screen can still be uh very much a spoiler Here so boys very consistent nothing first time out than a win didn’t score on his Knicks and here he’s winning his fourth got to watch for Joe Green as he tries a big Dash almost locks up as well this is going to be close at the end GRE Boyce just holds
It so after 15 races it’s uh beginning to develop into quite a pattern and we know that the Swedish Riders are enjoying themselves here tonight Json hanker Gustafson leaders of the Pack yes thanks very much come [Applause] on so the 16th race with Hans neelson in red Glenn Cunningham in blue Simon cross in white and Chris Louie in yellow and Black so an important one for Hans neelson and for Chris Louie both Louie and neelson sitting on Seven Points a piece on the first three rides and it is Hans neelson an absolute flying start for Hans so he dropped his two points in his first ride tonight made the necessary changes and he’s been flying since then that’s for Chris Lou couple of second places but he won his next one Simon cross still in there involved in the sck of the action as always and uh
It’s good to see crossy in this meeting good way to finish a career Ready so it is the main day in Hands neelson Chris L second third is Simon cross neelson in full control of the 16th race all the Riders have had four rides a piece after this we’ll check out the leader board And problems for Hans neelson well disastrous stuff down for H he had this one pretty well in the bag but for Chris Louie it really does open the door for him and I think Chris will be pretty happy with that he takes three points puts him on to a total of 10
Now so very rare that uh you see Hans neelson with any kind of machine troubles at all but there you are on this occasion the bike lets him down and very nice there of Chris Louie to give hands a live back down to the pits so we’ll check out the leader
Boards as we say the Riders now have all had four rides a piece and up at the top we got joint Leaders with per jansson and Han Gustafson both of those Riders on a piece Lee Adams and Chris Louie on 10 Peter Carlson on eight Tony ricardson
And Hans neelson on seven and Joe screen and Craig Boyce have six a piece but really it’s all about the guys up at the very top end right now and certainly it looks as if it’s going to be per jansson or Hank Gustafson all depends what happens in the final couple of races
Tonight the last four races coming up So not much rest then for Chris Louie because he’s out again in Heat number 17 full lineup Peter Carlson red Tony ricardson blue Chris Louie white and Craig Boys in yellow and black and a win here for Louie put him very much in contention with h a Ros in place if not
A win itself so the world number three living up to all the expectations and really this will be a fine way to finish his season as well if we can get up there and do something on the rostom tonight on the you turn right so ready it’s his teammate he’s
Got to watch out for Tony ricardson although Craig Boyce and py Carlson uh can both be a bit of a handful as well so it is Carlson from the inside ricardson off to Louis 3 and Boyce on the outside and remember that Boyce won his last ride as
Well but plenty to keep the crowd interested here to wait for the tapes rise it is Tony ricardson and Chris Louie has really missed a start oh very quickly moving himself into second and almost at the same time getting his teammate as well superb riding for Chris Louie doesn’t seem that long ago that uh this rider was the number seven for Hackney in their title winning team of 1988 and made on an assessed two-point average and boy look at him now world number three regular England International and set for at least a rostom place py Carlson moves into second Pet’s going to finish off with a respectable 10 points final score for him but it is Chris Louie who’s now got to sit and wait and see what happens in heat 19 that’s when per Johansson and H Gustafson meet well I’m sure that uh he’ll admit
He had a little bit of good fortune when H neon’s bite packed up but still ridden extremely well he finishes off with 13 Points H Nelson Gary Allen Lee Adams and Simon wigs they are the Riders set to contest Heat number 18 Lee Adams sitting here on 10 points a win would put him onto a total of 13 as well so it is Nelson from the inside Gary Allen off to the Adams 3 and Simon
We on the Outside so the meeting uh boiling up towards the final few races here this one very significant the same goes for heat 19 of Course is H nson from the inside who’s made an excellent start not so good for Lee Adams but we watch to see very quickly settles time for that second place Gary Allen in third and Simon wig a pretty well a nice if he get Lee Adams drifting very wide Gary Alam mov thr
Into second Now Adam’s coming back so the racing continues great scrap going on here between Allan and Lee Adams I remember a win here for Adams would have put him onto a total of 30 points same as Chris Louie but H neelson just out to prove What Might Have Been if his bike hadn’t
To packed up in his last race while he was up Front see nson looking down at his machine he uh be wondering if this one’s going to keep going now certainly a comprehensive Victory is one way you could describe this one the Adams kisses is uh chances of a Ross and place goodbye good second place for Gary
Allen have two program races left to go it’s all going to be sorted out in the next Heat so Hans neelson takes the three points a good second though for Gary Allen there the wi and So this is the one Joe green and red per jansson and blue Hank Gustafson in white and thrown in there for good measure Steve Camden in yellow and black So gassing quite simply has to win this one simple as That so tense moments indeed Jo screen starts off from the favorite inside gate position for jansson that is off to Haner Gustafson three Steve cden on the outside looks like jonsson has just got the drop staff’s a notoriously bad starter but we’ve seen on two or three occasions
Already tonight that he really is capable of coming through from the Back so jansson and Gustafson have’ been on the same side in the world pairs the world team cup Swedish Internationals of Course it is the 1990 World Champion P Json look very stylish she’s only dropped to one point tonight sending his third R to Chris Lou and barring some machine problems it looks indeed as if p jonsson is going to hold on and take the 1993 division one
Riders Championship if he does he’ll be the first ever reading Rider to take this title and with a celebration weeding it is B jonsson who indeed takes the Dunlop division one Riders championship for 1993 an G safon very quickly up there to offer his Congratulations So disappointment then for Hank Gustafson celebrations for per jonsson but of course it means that now we have a couple of riders on 13 points Hanka Gustafson and Chris leis so an additional race to come but of course we still got he 20 okay So from the inside in red it’s Calvin Tatum Jason lies in blue off two Jason Crump in white off three and Simon cross yellow on the outside and of course cross’s final appearance on a Speedway track good meeting to go out in be nice if he could end up with a win
In his final ride as well we know he’ll be going for it but it is Calvin t very disappointing night for Kelvin Simon cross moves into second spot Jason lies that is in third and Jason Crump finding the going just a little bit tougher than maybe he Expected nonetheless I’m sure that we’ll be seeing crumpy in Top Flight racing in 1994 There is tat from Cross who indeed is under some pressure from Jason Lions although crossy moves himself back into second again and remember we still have the additional race that is to decide second and third got an outright winner in P Jonson Han gustason and Chris Louie
Still got uh to decide the destination off second and third place So Kelvin Tatum ends up with a win was first of the night and we uh head down to the pits to catch the Riders preparing for that Runoff So Chris Louie in the blue helmet hanky Gustafson in white both Riders on 13 points and the destiny of the second and third places all be sorted out just over a minute from now well Lou is certainly the faster of the starters oh it did look like hker Guston
Dropped the clutch quickest but it is Chris L he switching Kings in course big local rivals in East angia these two had plenty of experience at racing against each other that is the ifp switch by Chris L right now see Han gusta moving high and wide
He’ll try everything he can to get p as we’ve said all night he really is a master ad coming through from the back so popular at Kings but it is Chris Louie right now who looks as if he’s going to be adding second place in the division one Riders
To his uh third place in the world final itself but we watch now for Han Gustafson what a maneuver you could see he must have gained about half a dozen bite LS just on the bank straight alone and it is Gustafson saving his best to last and he even saw a little
Bit of a a wave there brilliant stuff from Han Gustafson who takes second place and a brave third there from Chris Louis as well so a perfect way to finish off but has been a very entertaining meeting here at Swindon tonight and Han Gustafson no doubts will
Come around and give us a celebration wheelie as expected here it Is So we got the presentations to go and uh then we’ll check out the leaderboard as well check out the final scoreboard all 16 Riders taking part tonight Yeah get away this evening the traffic police at the traffic lights off the A4 n so we actually Clos down the traffic lights and we hopefully we can speed you away well I think people uh will agree they’ve had the money’s worth tonight had some great racing and Swindon put on

Allen finishes his British career on five Jason kramp and Calvin Tatum also scored five points a piece Jason Lions three Simon wig one and nor score for David Norris from his two rides so we got the presentations to go and after to that that’ll be it from swinden Stadium
