I’ve been looking for a decent pair of road shoes for a while now. I’ve tried Giro Sentrie Lacetech – one size was too small, next size up too loose; a few different Shimano models- I was surprisingly disappointed in the feel and quality in all of them; Fizik R4 Overcurve – I loved those and they were a close second choice. Top of the range Van Rysel, I really liked the way they fit and how light and they are by am a bit dubious about the build quality. So I settled on these, a little heavier than some of the others but the fit is absolutely perfect (my feet are quite narrow), they have good rigidity in the soles, you can get replacement parts for them and the build quality seems excellent. And I like the grey to black fade as opposed the just white. Hopefully I’ll get to bring them for a test ride this weekend…
