In the summer of 2023 I took a bicycle tour through the south of Sweden. From Malmö to Stockholm, on to Göteborg and back to Malmö again. It was a journey of about 2000 km (1240 miles) and lasted for three weeks plus one resting day in Stockholm. Here’s my story about that trip. You’ll see a lot of Sverigeleden and Kattegattleden and all the small and big towns I passed through. There might even be a tip or two about how to do biketouring in Sweden my way.
I’m not an athlete, but a 57-year-old art historian who likes to ride his bike. If I could do it, you probably can too. I enjoy the bike-riding part of biketouring, so I’m more interested in the roads and trails than in the places where I sleep.
