Hi everyone I don’t know much about biking so I wanted some advice. I don’t really know what is relevant or not to mention but after reading a lot of forums I have a bit of an idea.
I got into grad school at Boston (BU) and want to bike to school, classes, grocery stores, etc. Boston has lots of brick streets, cobble stoney, but relatively flat. There is some hills/ elevation but nothing major. I know how to bike but don’t really know how to use gears ( I want to get into biking ). My boyfriend is an avid mountain biker and bought a road bike recently (but no great with knowing individual parts or giving advice). I know from other threads that a daily commuter bike like I want won’t really be good for long distances or going fast, but I don’t know the limitations. I really love the vintage sort of look. I found the ones below from other posts and really loved them. Any thoughts on which one and why or completely new recommendations. I’d love any and all insight because I’d really love to learn more. 🙂 I know people get a bit frustrated with beginners asking for advice and recommendations so I appreciate you reading this far thank you!!
P.s. I’ve learned that I would really need a skirt guard because I do actually wear long skirts most days
