Welcome to Dorchester House as you can see there’s multiple buildings. When you enter Dorchester House you have the reception area and straight away you can go over to the postal area. This is where you’ll pick up all of your post that gets delivered, it’s assigned by flat.
If you come with me now we have the information station and then over here we have the common room. In the common room we have the ResLife board which will advertise all ResLife events. Over here we have a foosball
Table and pool table which you can book out over at the reception. We also have two study pods as well as other seating. This seating leads to the big screen where we host movie nights and quiz nights. Now let me show you the laundry room.
In the laundry room there are eight washers and eight dryers. If you come with me now I’ll show you the way to the courtyard. Having just come from the common room, we have the bin store behind us but I’ll show you that later. Now let me show you the courtyard.
Behind me we have the study pod which you can book out through reception. This is the study pod it’s perfect for independent work and group work with whiteboards, desk, and a view of the forecourt. And over here we have a second courtyard.
Dorchester is lucky to have two large courtyards which you can hang out with your friends and socialise. One of them has a communal garden and down here we have the gym. Here we have the bin store, we have general waste on this side and recycling on this side.
Here we have the lifts you’ll use these to get up to your room. To enter your flat and your room you’ll have to use your fob. In the standard bedroom you’ll have a desk chair ,desk, and drawers. You’ll also have a 3/4 size bed with under bed storage,
And a wardrobe. You also get the en suite with a shower, sink and, toilet. In the standard Dorchester kitchen you get an oven, an induction hob, microwave, and a fridge freezer. Coming over here you have a seating area for you and your housemates to hang out.
In the studio flat you have a long room. Over here we have the kitchen area. Here we have an induction hob, combination microwave oven, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. We also have cupboards for storage, and a breakfast bar for two people.
Coming down here we have a double bed and a desk for studying. The desk has drawers, shelves, and a pin board. We also have an armchair. The bed has below bed storage as well as a shelving unit. We also have a wardrobe for storage and an en suite with shower, sink and toilet.
You’ll need your fob to enter. This is where you’d store your bike be sure to bring a bike lock. We hope you found these videos useful and we can’t wait to welcome you to Dorchester House next year.
