Adventure-cyclists George Maurer and Grant Brooks take on the interior of Iceland as they cycle for a cure for cancer on 2016’s “50 Across Iceland”, the 3rd Annual Carolyn Held Memorial Bike Ride. To date, over $38,000 has been raised for cancer research at Mayo Clinic and over 7,000 miles have been covered via bicycle; from Seattle to Boston in 48 days in 2014, and from the Golden Gate Bridge to the 14,110 foot summit of Pike’s Peak in 2015. Summer 2017 will have George cycling with a Siberian Russian he met in Iceland, as they cover the country of Sri Lanka to raise funds for a cure.

Tax-free donations to cancer research can be made at: https://philanthropy.mayoclinic.org/carolynheld
